Just stirring up some buzz, folks!
p.s. It worked!

Phish ticket, $45 to $400.
Moe ticket, $45 to $300.
The Breakfast ticket, $8 to $15.

Travelling to a B\'fast show because they don\'t play out of their "comfy pocket" =$200-$300

No thanks I\'ll see Trey.

Sully\'s is more fun than Fenway Park anyway!
I prefer a small club, to a big show.
Wonder if $45 to $200 ticket prices would work at Sully\'s?

really... no more free advertising and no more touring???

well, i guess it makes sense. no need to expose themselves to a new audience that they\'re not going to be touring to... it doesn\'t make sense to have the possibility of excited new fans in, say, nashville, if they band\'s never gonna play there, after all.

i really hope kung fu takes off and can tour. because its a true shame to have musicians of this caliber confined to a hundred square mile radius and expecting to make a living.

Kung Fu could be the advertising & exposure The Breakfast players need.
Touring takes money. That\'s why they don\'t tour.
Jordan is only able to cover northeast shows.
They would have to come up with a keyboardist for bigger tours.

(not about the $$ for music of course, I\'ve always been more than happy to give what I could when I could, but the general feel of this thread is eerie)

Lois: What the hell?  Marilyn Manson?  Is that who\'s causing all this?  Peter: Yeah, it\'s all him or hers fault.  Who does he or she think he or she is?  Look, you can totally see his or her nipples.  That\'s obscene... maybe.  Lois: There\'s only one thing to do.  Peter: You\'re right.  We got to find this Marilyn Manson and I\'ve got to give that bastard or bitch a piece of my mind or penis.

if i may chime in here,
Nobody in the band could tour. not just Jordan!

if touring in the past payed the bills, this conversation would not exist.
the band plays on......

this is the best band in the world and we should all stot bitching about how this came to be, and start thinking of ways to expose this great band to the world, and make them money cause ill be willing to do anything even if its making cds and selling them for the band.

ok if the band wants to sell their recordings, where the fuck can i buy a show? i\'ve legitimately bought all their albums off the merch table, i buy new tshirts and posters whenever they are available. if you want to make money from selling recordings of your shows, then release a fucking show. if you\'re going to sit on all of the recordings, i don\'t see where the profit is coming from. booyakasha

wow, in retrospect thats a really bitter post. sorry guys, i obviously support decisions that will help yuo guys melt my face in the future. keep doin what you\'re doin, and do it big.

TB is entitled to make money off their music however they want because it\'s "their" music...  The stance in the past has been that audience recordings and trading have been allowed...  If that\'s not the case anymore, then TB needs to announce that and take all of their concerts off archive.org...  That being said, if they want to charge for recordings of their concerts, they first and foremost need an outlet where people can obtain them and second, they can\'t be "audience recordings" that they just happen to be selling...

clown shoes

the tapers etc have been the biggest supporters of this band since day one. I hate to be the asshole but if you can\'t sell out shows anywhere then who the fuck is going to pay for shows ?
or is the plan to simply prey on the small but rabid fanbase that has supported you guys throughout ?

I\'m sorry but after 11 years if you can\'t put asses in the seats it is time to evaluate your decisions. Paying for shows isn\'t going to magically make people flock to your shows. All it is going to do is create a backlash, piss people off.

Perhaps if the band was to produce a HQ release that is one thing but again you need people to buy it.

Not trying to be an asshole but the truth hurts sometimes. How many bands have been around for 11 years all of a sudden take off and make it big ? I cannot think of 1.

Sometimes I really get the impression that this band has an entitlement problem.

Willie Nelson was around a few decades before he got attention.
He was like 45 when things started happening for him.

that isn\'t exactly true.

he was a popular DJ and local guy in texas in the 50\'s. By 1960 he had written "night life" and was residing in Nashville.
so he was very entrenched in the music scene and had sold a single or 2 before even getting to nashville.

he was basically writing HUGE hits for other people at the time.

he was born 1933 so he was in his mid to late 20\'s when he was starting to see big success in the music industry
