the band played a 1 off random show in Palmer back in \'04 that was a fun time. I\'m pretty sure they\'d do well anywhere w/in the UMass region, I just hate the friggen Ironhorse and mill St. has become a doooze more often than not.

That was a great show...

For better or worse, The Iron horse is the only venue I can think of that has consistently been in the repertoire for 10 years straight; booking a few shows a year since 2000.  Now that Toad\'s is out, are there any other venues that have been played as consistently as IHAG?

That aside, they really run that place with zero emphasis on an enjoyable experience outside of the the music.  The wait outside in the cold, the beer situation, the crappy bathroom line and the arrogant staff/sound guys generate plenty of resentment.

The way to go would be a UMASS show on campus.
Maybe next fall.
Or how about renting a hall in Amherst/Northampton and throwing our own show?

Hmm.... might want to talk to PB4Lyfe ... I believe he\'s got some land up in Conway (15 minutes up the road from Northampton) and he keeps telling me he wants to throw a Breakfast show up there. We got a lot of crispy critters up in this neck of the woods and could make a serious camp-out of it.

I\'ll let him speak for himself when it comes to that though. Not that I already just didn\'t :P

Also... I\'m going to be buying some land I think in Sindey, NY. 20 minutes from Binghampton and 20 minutes from Oneonta. It\'s got like an acre of land, a barn, and a big farmhouse. I\'m thinking of turning this into a festival spot. BreakFest perhaps? I may be owning this within the next month or so and renovating it over the summer. Could be a real shindig for the end of the summer. Get some other local bands to play as well.

Should be a good time. I\'m pretty sure I could throw one heck of a fun little campout festival ;) ...

Will keep y\'all posted of course. peace!

the university of nh has an organization that puts on an event called solarfest every year. its a one day event on a sunday, i believe its in may but it could be the end of april... either way, it brings a pretty big crowd. and i sure would appreciate the presence... i tried to find links leading to contact with the people who run it but no such luck. maybe itll pop up relatively soon.

but, you\'s should also come back to the stone church :-)

do you go to UNH? maybe you could find out who puts on the solar fest? it might be too late to book it this year but they def should play solar fest at some point. They did Solar fest in Keene a couple years back and it was a great success. beautiful sunny spring day, hot college chicks all over drinkin beers on campus goodtimes. It\'s already been said before but they really need to make more of an effort to play college campuses. The amount of new potential fans at college campuses is wayyyy greater than than at random little bars.
