So let\'s start this off right...

Syracuse loses to Division II Le Moyne 82-79...

Oh, and KU is ranked #1 in both polls...

Le Moyne is a very well-coached team with a monster in the paint named Laurence Ekperigin. I saw him as a sophomore (2007-08) and said that he would be a two-time Northeast-10 Player of the Year when all was said and done. He won it last year, and 20 points and 11 rebounds in the Carrier Dome seems like a good sign for this year.

The Northeast-10 Conference produces excellent Division II men\'s basketball every year. It generally has two or three nationally-ranked teams at any given time, and Bentley went into the Final Four as the undefeated No. 1 ranked team in the country in both 2006-07 and 2007-08. Now if only SCSU and UNH could compete, we would have decent, usually free, college basketball in New Haven two or three nights a week from November to February.

You\'re missing the point that the #25 team in the ESPN poll who advanced to the Sweet 16 last year lost to a D2 school that went 20-11 last year... Pretty embarassing...

Does SCSU care about any sport other than soccer these days?  That was the only real sport when I was there...

And if that gets boring maybe you can go check out some minor league hockey or some WNBA.  Their fundamentals are out of this world!

Big East teams should not be losing to D-II teams, let alone top 25 teams!

Don\'t get me wrong, it\'s a pretty big upset. I\'m just saying that Le Moyne may be Division II, but they aren\'t the East Syracuse School for the Blind.

On the national level, soccer is about it for SCSU teams... though occasionally an athlete in track & field or swimming & diving will win a national title.

SCSU football is annually one of the best D-II schools in the region... unfortunately it\'s one of the weakest regions in the country.

It\'s even sweeter when you\'re ranked #1 like KU...

Cuse has beaten plenty of ranked teams, with authority I might add!

They really are a joy to watch this year. The zone is a monster, and the offense is much more balanced.

Wes Johnson - forget about it, this kid is something else!

Don\'t get all high and mighty on Syracuse, lest we forget their loss to Division II Le Moyne 82-79 earlier this year...

In sports, its not how you start, its how you finish. If Syracuse is steamrolling through teams ain\'t nobody but Le Moyne and you going to give a fuck about the first exhibition game of the year.

According to ESPN, this is their record/schedule:

November 9   Albany   W 75-43   1-0
November 11   Robert Morris   W 100-60   2-0
November 19   vs. No. 12 California*   W 95-73   3-0
November 20   at No. 4 North Carolina   W 87-71   4-0
November 24   Cornell   W 88-73   5-0
November 27   Columbia   W 85-60   6-0
November 30   Colgate   W 92-58   7-0
December 5   Maine   W 101-55   8-0
December 10   vs. No. 11 Florida*   W 85-73   9-0
December 13   St. Francis (NY)   W 75-51   10-0

I do, because if you can lose to a D2 non-ranked team you can lose to anyone...

If you beat a D2 non-ranked team you can lost to anyone. Whats your point?

Especially in college sports, any team can win at any time.
