are you guys being pansies or what?   I\'ve gone to the Owl Shop plenty of times before. I smoke cigars on occassion myself.  Petite ones, of course.   Smell isn\'t THAT bad.   I would totally get my arse down to a Wednesday night if I didn\'t have work.....

good for you. And some people enjoy crack cocaine as well. I better take that up as well so that everyone will think I\'m cool. My need to impress others is far more important to me than my own personal health.

Of course. Wouldn\'t want to give the wrong impression.

i\'m still sick from wed. night. sore throat.dizzy, crappy,
headache, smell still in my nose...i\'m might just go & barf!

p.s. i\'m not a pansy ass about this smoke shit. i smoked up a storm for many a year...
everything out there...stinky cigars too....inhaled like a bong hit...
my body told me to quit or you\'re going down for the count....
i quit, felt good, body felt better, mind felt better, could breathe again...it\'s so nice to breathe!
oxygen is good folks!
going to the owl shop for me is like going to an AA meeting and doing shots of scotch.
beating addictions is a great struggle. i tried for over ten years to get off the smokies.
was good to be clean of that shit,can\'t deal with it now.
can\'t enjoy the music when i can\'t open my eyes cause they\'re burning up...
can\'t enjoy the music because i\'m trying not to barf...
can\'t enjoy the music because my throat is closing up & my lungs are burning..
can\'t enjoy the music when i know i\'m going be sick half the week..
you get the point folks...

thats exactly why they are investing in a new anti smoke machine.

smoke didnt stop people from going out before the smoking ban. i dont see see why people cant put up with it now. especially with the ser music that is going on at owl shop.

I Just Think George Started Something Great Up In A Bad Place.
There\'s So Many Places Around To Settle Into. A Cigar Lounge
Doesn\'t Seem Fitting For People Not Into The Smoke Thing.
No Machine Is Going To Make A Smokey,Stinky Cigar Lounge
Seem Like It\'s Not A Smokey,Stinky Cigar Lounge.
Many People Didn\'t Go Out Because Of The Smoke Filled Rooms
Of The Past. I Think The Smoking Ban Was Good For Everyone.
It\'s Not A Big Deal Now For People To Step Outside For A Smoke.
It\'s Nice For People Who Are Bothered By Smoke To Go
Out To A Club & Not Have To Deal With It.
I Feel Sick And Have A Sore Throat Because I Went Out To
Hear Musicians I Know. Now I Can\'t Go Because Of The
Smoking Environment There. I\'m Sure I\'m Not The Only One.
I Might Not Be Over Last Wed. Until Maybe Mon.

um yeah.........thats why i think its stupid to bitch about too much smoke in a cigar bar.....and the owl shop patrons love smoking fat cigars and drinking super premium booze.  its stocked with only top shelf alcohol across the board.....and from what i have seen from the 2 wednesdays i have attended is they love their jazz......so you gotta suck it up to see ser biz

yes it did. There were plenty of venues I would not go to before the smoking ban, usually based on size of room to crowd that smokes size ratio. if it\'s going to form a cloud, no interest. plus I hate how my clothes smell the next day/ on the ride home/ etc.

Don\'t get me wrong, if you want to smoke, go right ahead. I just don\'t want to have to breathe it. So if that means avoiding certain places, then I\'ll probably avoid them, or only go for >30 min to show band support and then leave.

I wish there was a sound effect of me sticking out my tongue at you, paul ;)

I will never ever live down the walking comment (among others), will I?   I still stand by my walking comment from 2006.  Walking from my apartment on Orange/Crown to Toad\'s would have been a bad choice...by myself....being an attractive girl....

In regards to cigars, I can totally see why you are being a pansy ;)  Some people just don\'t like the odor.  Its an acquired thing.   I grew up with my Pops who smoked cigars and cherry tobacco.   The smell brings me back to my youth. Cigarettes, on the other hand, I can\'t stand....
