im going to go with the rolling stones

my second 2 guesses would be bands thats typically dont tour in the states...

1. radiohead
2. oasis

and this may sound ridiculous, but my longshot guess is Backstreet Boys

All good guesses so far.  MJ and the Stones are always candidates, Oasis had just released Whats The Story Morning Glory in 95 so that\'s a good outside shot.  Check the details carefully though...no way Radiohead was drawing 4.5 million people pre-OK Computer.

Bonus points to anyone who gets the artist AND the particular tour name.

Here\'s another one (totally different tour):

At $555 Million grossed, it is the top grossing tour of all time...

It\'s A Tough One!
Serious Tour! Hardly Any U.S. Shows.
Huge Draw At All Shows.
I\'ll Make A Top  Choice Guess:

U2   (The Tour With All The TV\'s. ZOO TV Tour Or Something.I\'m Not Going To Cheat And Look It Up!)

     Teeny Bopper Timmy Tour

The Rolling Stones\' A Bigger Bang Tour...$558,255,524 earned

I know the answer to the first one but I had to search to find it so I won\'t say what it is

I\'m throwing my hat (and glove) in the \'Michael Jackson\' ring. If that\'s true, the album around that time was HIStory, so unless it\'s something more creative, I\'m going to go with the "HIStory Tour".

Yes but it is over a year long and a world tour and how many shows?

prolly is MJ. can u2 even draw that high in that many places? maybe they can but I think it\'s MJ. woohoo!

that would be a sick Bfast/phish tour to do baller style.

few days between all the shows to sight see and chizzill

first leg ends in hawaii stay there from january till summer>fall tour starting in germany

that\'s the name of the tour...i couldn\'t think of it last night.  I wanted to say black and white, but i knew that was the earlier 90s...i knew it was whatever the greatest hits tour was called.

You gave away who\'s tour it was because you originally posted it in the MJ died thread. I got the email with that post for that thread.
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

To play that many shows you have to be on a lot of crystal meth.

My vote goes to Motorhead.
