the most viewers is right now at 55 during band introductions...
Mostly robots swarmed in. But yeah maybe 20 or so real people were watching it at times, some from PT who had never seen Breakfast and some fans left out of the loop due to distance.. or at least that many screens.
I\'d definitely put a $10 in my computer for the occasional luxury of seeing a difficult-to-make show. Or $20 honestly the money would be I presume mostly to the band and cost of crew and production. With a little more warning we could have shown a lot of people the band for their first time.
Actually, when it\'s not so late-night post Breakfast show.... I can develop a secure payment gateway for "e tickets". It would, of course, be interesting to run analytics on the statistics to see where certain pockets of the country grow in terms of people logging in to watch live Breakfast.
I found this evening\'s not-be-able-to-go due to no sleep last night after Red Square... well this was totally clutch.
Shootin the shit in the peanut gallery chat room was a blast. Like .info on crack.
But yeah, we all know shows are outta reach for many people. Matt Vallo, you rule man. This is some great technology.
How\'s this for a proposal::::
For future webcasts and BFam / .info poster or otherwise established Breakfast fan pays $20 for the luxury of watching Breakfast from the couch burnin\' chronic strains. New fans.... which would be people can get to come from MySpace, Facebook, PT board kids, other various message boards... well you\'re first shot of psychedelic Breakfast should be free.
And then we\'ve got archived DVDs... so $10 sounds about right. All the ones I ever have KEN gave to me (thanks a lot man) but if push woulda come to shove, I actually would have paid for them, you know?
And, certainly, it brings the community closer together again. It was a beautiful thing, unexpectedly seeing The Breakfast tonight up in the virtual peanut gallery.
You guys just let me know if you need help setting up an online and absurdly secure instant ticket ordering proccess. That\'s kind of my speciality actually. Guess I\'ll swap PMs with mvallo and thatguy tomorrow to see what their plans were. I consider this a very successful first experiment and really makes it great for fans who live too far away.
