then you didn\'t get the point. which is that you\'re silly not letting your kid go over to the gun-house. i am anti-gun, but i\'m not worried that a kid will shoot itself with one. i\'m more worried that a kid would end up drowing. in fact, i\'m about 100 times more worried about drowning, because it is about 100 times more likely to happen. you are the exact parent i was discussing. you think you\'re being protective (like with all this swina bifita stuff), but in fact are missing the more common actual threats and opening your child to potentially worse situations. by having the kid come to your house, you are only subverting a 4 in 75million chance of a gun death. why worry about something so unlikely? why not focus on actual dangers?
again, the gun aspect has nothing to do with what i was talking about. the misinformed parent putting their energies into the wrong fears was my point.
