yeah, nice way for us to will the encore, the sound guy appeared to be shutting it down and the manager was shaking his head and giving the cut it sign, but to no avail.
awesome show.
even the sound which i could honestly take or leave was great. wtf was damn good and really set the tone for the night. i brought a kid from work, he and his girl kept asking me to describe their sound i did the best i could, i went over to them after wtf and he goes, "is that what ya meant? man, they kept building and building and getting harder and then it all went crazy and came back where it started, wow, it was really good!" i just nodded happily. he kept thanking me throughout the night for inviting them. that made me happy.
anyway, inner glimpes, the prolonged intro to metrop, and obviously the entire song, was just great and kept the energy level up. drunk monk was just insane, after seeing it at ace of clubs on 12/30 i was wondering if i\'d get one again, only took 8 fuckin\' months, christ. man, did it hit hard and go everywhere, what a perfectly placed, great, great, version. what a great follow up to drunk monk with stl. like drew said, what else can ya really say about this song? i did like how far out there it got and loved the way they got us pretty much all thinking it was clearly going into scheme, but nooooo.
glad they delivered on the obvious highlight of the night for me. it\'s been a while. if that song doesn\'t sum up who the breakfast is, then i don\'t know what could. it seemed like the floor actually filled up as the song went on.
what a good time, i guess i\'ll have to go to sully\'s tonight and subject myself to more great music. work, work, work.
