i thought this entire show was awesome, from start to finish. but Rush and Whole Lotta Love were just over the top. i so wish this was taped.

imo, i thought this was one of the better crowds the breakfast had going by 2 a.m. maybe still about 50 or so people there getting down pretty hard (and still drinking it up). i mean, one guy had to be pulled off the stage after he got up on it during the chase, singing out the lyrics. i was surprised they ended so early. i still had at least another hour or so of booze, et al., left in my system for fuel!

hey zuke, do you remember what song it was that we were dancing together? it was a bit "electronic" sounding and i thought it was awesome. the band was really patient with the jam. and the crowd off to the left of the stage was groovin, too.

So. Much. Fun. Love Beef Barley!  Thanks for the love everyone!

ditto and right back at ya!! pregame was awesomeness. and zenovia is adorable!

on the train down, my bro in law was like, i really want to hear beef barley and the chase. i was like, good call, but those aren\'t really "regulars" much these days. lo and behold -- he gets both! we danced our asses off during BB. worked up quite a sweat!

so because we  got to the place at like 12:30, we still had to drive around for almost 1/2 hour, guess that\'s what happens.

so i\'m driving straight to the city from a gig in philly and as i\'m about to turn onto sullivan street from bleeker, the huge limo in front of me decides to BACK UP for some reason, crunching in my front left fender.  (bear in mind this was the last place on my car that was relatively unfucked.  no ridiculous body work that resembles paper mache, no dents from previous accidents or discolored body replacements...) so i\'m pissed, i open the window and start screaming at the dude, because he just keeps on driving!  so it\'s on, i\'m following the fucker.  but just as i\'m approaching sullivan hall, i see a parked car pop their blinker on.  i\'m faced with a decision...  get justice or a slammin parking spot.  i took the parking spot.

I guess not - but the transition from HB made it feel like it was...

hmm...details are a little hazy. gravity? i think that\'s the only song that entered EDM territory. yeah everyone there was getting down pretty hard at that point...except for freespirit, apparently

good crowd, overall. way better than the last time i saw them there (last july). very good energy too. i\'m sure the weather helped. huuuuge jam into metropolis. great opener. awesome middle jam that just slammed into the ending. they hit it hard and had the crowd in the palm of their hand just like that. honey buttter was good, but didn\'t stand out for me, except for the echidna\'s in the middle. i\'m not a huge zappa fan, but this song is pretty sweet and band was really tight. don\'t remember the segues. gravity was my highlight of the night. shit got crazy. i think it was in gravity where they laid down the dancey stuff. the jam was more than just that. they took it to a few different places. i\'d love to hear this one again. don\'t recall the segue into IG, but the segue out of it was just the end of IG, a small pause, and then the beginning of the composed ending of gravity. before rush, tim mentioned they "haven\'t played this one in a while."  this happened to be my smoke break song. caught the very end of the jam. guess i missed out.  i think they started with a good times bad times fakeout for a second before whole lotta love...maybe not, but i thought i recognized some other zep song before they started. i don\'t remember too much of beef barley except for the mario tease. that was pretty cool. chase was standard but good.

i wish they could have played a little longer. the crowd was diggin it and they were playing really well. i would love to hear the metropolis and the gravity again. in fact, i would pay cash money to hear the soundboard of this show

diana thanks again for the goody bags. i\'ve always said breakfast shows need more glowsticks and raver glasses...well, maybe not, but it was good to have em last night. you should come and celebrate the actual day next friday.

*meh*, doesn\'t look like I missed much. ;)

you all got a concert in nyc, I got to babysit my friends kids so she could catch a mets game. You guys danced,  I got to show off my mad skills on mario sluggers against a 7 year old and get my ass kicked. a fun night either way! rotfl

excellent crowd for new york, although i was a little disappointed that they stopped playing so early... really thought it was going to be one of those nights where the band played until past 3.

i brought a friend from the city with me who i didn\'t really think would be that crazy about the music and was loving it by the end of the night. she is now already planning on going to crash mansion.
