^^^^  Mmmmmm good point.   How bout those Mets?  Eh, Nevermind....

In any case, bitching gets nowhere.   We aren\'t the band.  We can\'t book their gigs.  If you want the band to have more of a crowd at Toad\'s, help with promo.  Just because we\'re 30 doesn\'t mean our hands are broken, last time i checked, our arthritis still permits us to hand out flyers.....

Well... I remember seeing something on FB where Chris\' status being "is recording a new tune...finally."  Is it possible that there may be a new TB ablum on the horizon?  If so, I hope it\'s full of tunes that haven\'t been played...ever!

That\'s what i\'ve been saying all along, but that just leads to the other same old discussion that new fans haven\'t heard half of the old songs so why should they take the time to write new songs blah blah blah
i think it\'s turning back on me / i\'m down on the upside

And what about the other 50% of the fans that don\'t live in New Haven anymore?  We can suggest places to play, right?  In NJ, places that they\'ve not yet hit, that could be fun include: Maxwell\'s (Hoboken), Colorado Cafe (Watchung), The Junkyard (Rochelle Park), Asbury Lanes (Asbury Park), Tierney\'s Tavern (Montclair), Crossroads (Garwood), Startland Ballroom (Sayervill), Dublin\'s Pub (Morristown), School of Rock (South Hackensack)...

New songs means progression... I think that TB has gotten into the habit of continually counting on the old standbys and recycling older songs for new albums (w/ the exception of Real Radio)...

Sure you can suggest places....but you\'re not the band.  they\'ll go where they want.  Forget NJ, when\'s the last time they ever played Providence, or even RI????  I can think of plenty places they could play, but its what they want.  summer in providence is awesome with water fire, it attracts soooo many people...it would be nice if they got a gig in one of those little clubs.  But.... like i said, i\'m not them.

I just feel like we always go around in circles with this discussion and nothing ever comes of it.

Forget NJ

See, I can\'t do this, because without a glimmer of hope that there will (in the near future) be a NJ show, I\'ll never get to see them, unless they play NYC at in a reasonable time slot...

I agree they should play NJ, but with summer coming, maybe priority could be put on a touristy location with more crowds.  I don\'t know many people who willingly vacation to NJ ;)  (I seriously couldn\'t resist and had to write that!)

I hate to tell you, but the Jersey Shore is a major tourist location during the summer; Belmar, Point Pleasant, Seaside, LBI, Wildwood, Cape May...  Part of the problem is that a lot (and I\'m not generalizing) of you guys in New England were given the impression that Jersey is dirty and you never got away from that.  Well, I enjoy CT beaches, but I can say that they\'re not real beaches because they\'re not on the ocean... I\'ve spent summers on the Shore and I\'ve spent summers in the Cape and I enjoy both... But if you did shows in RI or Bock Island, it\'d pretty much be the TB community with few locals (in my opinion) and you won\'t be growing the brand at all...
