Guys.. Just keep going to shows. If absence makes the heart grow fonder then I guess we\'ll really have a chance to prove the theory.

If the band "goes away" we\'ll have the archive to relive... if they play infrequently... maybe more people will hit up the shows.. if they start four new bands.. we\'ll be going anyway..

It will be interesting to see what the numbers look like through the summer.

I sup[pose if they are lucky enough to get a big break this year we can all come back and laugh at this thread.

and yes Leith.. you\'re such a fucking visionary you told us all... we all should have listened to you.

Well sometimes it takes a bit of distance to see the forest from the trees.

If we had been given the information Adrian so kindly bestowed upon us in this thread months ago perhaps in the thread I started instead of saying they were just taking it slow for a couple months, maybe there would have been much less drama here on .info over their situation.

I know I feel better knowing that they are actively addressing their situation (getting rid of the trailer etc.) and that the decrease in Breakfast shows is not a sign of the band folding rather a drastic measure they have undertaken to get the ship righted.

I hope that this plan works and they are able to regroup this year and come back next stronger than ever.

There\'s a campground in eastern Ct. with group / party sites.  One is at the top of a hill in the woods away from everyone, the other is a huge field also away from everyone, probably an acre or more in size.  I\'d say go for the huge field!  You are allowed to drink on site.  I think it was $75.00 a night for the site up to 25 people then $2 - $3.00 a person after that.  They would probably only want to do an acoustic set so as not to piss everyone off, but last time I was there I asked the guy at the desk a few questions.  First I asked how many cars were allowed, he said "as many as will fit in the field."  I asked if there was electricity out at the field, he said "no but you could bring a quiet generator."  I\'m just saying, it\'s tucked in a corner of the Shetucket river which is a short hike from either campsite and it\'s a nice campground.  We went with about 25 people so it cost us $3.00 each for the night... $3.00!  Maybe we should throw a fund raising weekend... $25.00 or $30.00 a person, if the fam went they\'d make some $$ to help \'em out, campout & have a good damn time but don\'t get cRaZy, have TB put on a couple acoustic sets, bring an instrument if you have one for jammin\' before and after, have a killer fire in the fire ring in the middle of the field, dance around like wild injuns, and clean up after ourselves in the a.m., they might even let us back as a group!  That\'s my two cents... sounds perfect to me.  It\'s Salt Rock State Park in Baltic Ct., just north of the Casinos.  I think we\'re all mature enough now to not trash the place so we may get the chance to make it a yearly thing or even more often.

The field campsite is in the lower left corner, the hilltop wooded site is in the upper right hand corner on the map.  If you do go, even on your own, be good, it\'s one of only two or three State parks that allow drinking in Ct... don\'t ruin it for everyone... seriously!!

Lois: What the hell?  Marilyn Manson?  Is that who\'s causing all this?  Peter: Yeah, it\'s all him or hers fault.  Who does he or she think he or she is?  Look, you can totally see his or her nipples.  That\'s obscene... maybe.  Lois: There\'s only one thing to do.  Peter: You\'re right.  We got to find this Marilyn Manson and I\'ve got to give that bastard or bitch a piece of my mind or penis.

Just wanted to say to whoever is posting dates for the side projects(Dave), I went to see TGTB a few months ago at the Corner Pocket based on a Jambase posting (1 hr drive, brought friends) to have there be no GTBs.  Good thing I called the venue tomight because they are again listed on Jambase and they are again not playing at the corner pocket on 5/15, but lo 6/15 according to the mgmt.  Hope you are well Dave.  Matt Gilhuly signing off.

Is MJG still booking shows?  Besides the family jam show, the only one on their schedule is 8/7 (Mill St. Brews); they don\'t have the 8/1 show...  I guess my real question is, are these 3 shows in august really the only shows booked for the month?  At this point, I really don\'t care where they play (I\'m on baby), but unless the band really is slowing down only a couple shows here and there, they\'re missing out on a prime month to hit some different spots...  Agree/Disagree...

Summer tour dates on the whole this year have been pretty shitty in my opinion.

Unless something changes there will not be a single show under three hours away from me for the entire summer. Damn shame.

you think????

also, i, for one, think the band SHOULD play whatever bar is closest to yoda. but they should only play "ahoy" and then leave.
