Kings of Leon
Pumpkins
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

Ben Harper and Relentless 7.

It reminds me alot of early Lenny Kravitz.  Heavy, fuzzy, guitar parts. Sometimes melodies are sacrificed for lyrical message, but the groove carries it.  I like the drummer.

(I\'ve never been a Ben Harper fan either. Surprised I\'m enjoying this so much)

i\'ve actually been keeping a list of my listenings for the past two work days, due to it being eclectic as hell!!

Quote
Yes - YesSongs - listened on the way in. even not caring for anderson\'s voice, i still should have listened to this years ago!!!

Brian Eno - Ambient 1: Music for Airports - incredible! great early am, slow rise music. beautiful....

Wishbone Ash - Argus - just started. never heard any wishbone ash before, but i did have a couple tracks of the guitarists on some live compilation disc i had a while back. so far, so good!

Eugene Mcdaniels - headless heroes of the Apocolypse - good, intelligent funkiness

Suicidal Tendencies - How Will I Laugh Tomorrow.... When I Can\'t Even Smile Today? - classic ST. it still rules!

Calvin Harris - I Created Disco - pure, unadulterated shit. actually, no. that\'s being mean to shit....

Siouxsie & the Banshees - Kaleidoscope - brings me back to my youth!!

DeJohnette, Metheny, Hancock and Holland - Parallel Realities Live - awesome jazz!!!

Yngwie Malmsteen - Perpetual Flame - aaaaAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!

CAN - Unlimited Edition - its like world music by non-world musicians. wait, that doesn\'t sound quite right...

Dixie Dregs - Free Fall - ok, nothing spectacular, but definitely worth a spin!

Dr. John - Right Place, Wrong Time - what more do you want, really??

Dr. Octagon - Dr. Octagonecolgist - genious with the wikki wikki

Exploding Customers - Live at Tampere Jazz Happening - awesome, exuberant and wild!

i\'m actually doing something i don\'t do nearly enough of and that\'s listening to my own recordings - many of them for the very first time. it\'s reminding me why i do it in the first place.
