May have to hit either higher ground or house of blues.

havent been to a bisco show in a while.... am i going to have to take al sorts of crazy drugs to fit in?

i went to a show in providence last year "slightly drunk" and definetly felt out of place.

however, i would have felt weird asking some punk kid for drugs

Special show? They are going to play Wales, especially for me and actually play a decent show, rather than the techno crap they filled most of their set with when I saw them earlier this year. I know Barber was playing with a broken leg, but I never expected Umphreys McGee to play the better show. Was one helluva diappointment.

Hmm. I would probably expect that.

I hadn\'t. I\'ve been into the biscuits for about as long as pb and Story of the World is in my Top ten songs ever. However, I came away disappointed to the point I hardly listen to any bisco these days unless it\'s pre 2001, whereas umph goes on the car stero fairly often.

Pretty sure I\'m going to Calvin this Friday.

If it doesn\'t completely suck I might walk down the block again Saturday. I sort of expect it to completely suck though. And I don\'t want to waste many brain cells on Bisco when there\'s 3 Breakfast shows a couple weeks later that I def will be at.

I would like to see whats "going around town" though ;)

Very good chance of that. But I would like to give DB another chance to win me over. It sorta depends on the flow of things come Friday night.. like I told some friends they could party at my place pre/post show and its only a 5 minute walk so I could very well end up there. Or not.

Sorry did I hate on your fav band? Maybe by Saturday I will be raving about their creative, interesting, non-repetitive, skilled musicianship... ;)

Then again if I do end up going "for all the wrong reasons" I have a feeling I\'ll blend in just fine :disco:

For real tho I gotta at least hang up some Breakfast fliers around Calvin before the show..

Even if you don\'t like bisco you should pass out some fliers.  hit up the lot and tell all the kidzzzzzz that there is going to be a ton of cheap clean molli at the upcoming breakfast shows.  Knowing northampton there is a good chance this is true anyways

The NYE run shows were very good on the whole, with the actual NYE show being a little bit of a let down.

IF you go to the Calvin, expect to hear a decent amount of new songs so take it with a grain of salt.  If you go in with low expectations I doubt the Biscuits will disappoint.

I enjoyed them in Providence...if anyone has an extra I\'ll jump on it but otherwise I\'ll be drinking elsewhere.

It\'s certainly not everybody\'s taste.  What you have to realize though, is that it will be repetitive to a degree by nature.  They play TRANCEFUSION.  Trance = Repititive, but I look at it more like a slow build and layering vs. being repetitive.  As far as skilled musicianship...i don\'t know how you can create your own genre of music and not be creative or have skilled musicians.  So again, if it\'s not your tastes that\'s fine, but don\'t make generalizations on their music when you don\'t invest the time and effort to explore it.  Plus, seeing a show is a much different experience than just listening on CD.

I hope to see you there!
