Here is the simple answer.

I don\'t give two flying fucks about any other band at Bonnaroo then Phish.

I want to see Phish and no one else, so I\'ll bypass the $250 ticket, bitch about not getting any shows on the tour and wait for them to host there own fucking festival which they are so extremely capable of doing.

I think that\'ll sum it up.

NOTE: These are not entirely my feelings on said situation.

I\'m anal about this shit and I can still find at least a half a dozen shows on the bill I\'d like to see...

- Bruce Springsteen
- Phish (2 shows)
- Beastie Boys
- Nine Inch Nails
- Wilco
- Al Green
- Elvis Costello
- Ben Harper

If this wasn\'t in Tennessee, I\'d really give it some serious consideration.  It\'s not like your paying for the name and the line up is a bunch of jam bands that no one has ever heard of.  There\'s more music out there than Phish...

Sorry, but it\'s true... What did all you Phish faithful listen to during the hiatus and after Coventry when Phish said that they had played their last show .  Did you give up on music entirely?  I\'m betting you didn\'t because you\'re on this board talking about The Breakfast, which proves my point that there\'s good music out there other than Phish.  I like Phish, but won\'t make it or any band my life...

I love the concept of Phish at Bonnaroo and I give them props for trying...but I have a bad feeling about it.  I want no piece of this festival.  I just think we\'re overdue for something really bad to happen at one of these festivals or a Phish show.  Kinda like some of the Dead riots.  Or even if it\'s not terrible it will at least be very uncomfortable to be there.  Too many people are gonna try to get into Bonnaroo.  They\'re not gonna be able to handle it.

that\'s a pretty negative way of looking at things. i doubt there are going to be many, if any riots at all at bonnaroo this year.  every year everyone seems so happy to be part of such an event. i definitely don\'t share your views on something \'really bad\' definitely happening at roo, and i\'d imagine/hope the same goes for all the phish shows coming up. june can\'t come soon enough.

^^ i have to agree that i do not think anything bad will happen...i am the queen of ancipating that things will go wrong or that something bad can happen...but after last year and the many many festivals that i have been too...i dont forsee there being much of a problem at all....it was a very well done and smooth operation late year...OMS i make a tasty grilled cheese..and it will be very nice to meet you and put a face to the name :)

The only problem I have ever run into at a festival is that it ends too quickly...

oh ya, and, there are always too many people.
Love many, trust few and don\'t be late.

That is partly true wacky as it may seem. That and the fact that Languedoc is out lead many to wonder if this attempt will be as half assed as the last one.

To many it just seems Phish doesn\'t "care" enough about the phans like they used to. Basically deciding to be a part of the \'Roo for the pure fact that all they have to do is show up.

They have said putting on the fests is hard work and they just don\'t feel like putting that effort in right now which pisses people off.

whats wrong w/ phish taking themselves off the fucking pedestal and acting like any other band out there and how does that relate to this attempt at getting back together being \'halfassed\'?

Their effort should be going into the music.  They\'ve seen the Roo from solo projects, and I\'m sure they noticed it\'s run better than the Phish festivals.  The Roo people have the logistical side of it down.

As for the Languedoc-  why the absence?

I was just saying yesterday I liked Phish better when they were a band, not a way of life.  When going to a show didn\'t require months of planning and all the fans didn\'t take everything they did so damn seriously.

I\'d love to make it to a Bonnaroo, esp. to see DOWN, a totally unexpected addition---  pure metal-southern rockin\' machine! (and to see Phil Anselmo tearing up the vocals)

amirite or does it seem that the crowd can be schwilly or wook-like to the point of having to lock your stuff in a car if you just want to go pee or venture out for a bit? I\'ve been to some fests like that and it creeps me out. Is Roo like that???

One of the best smaller fests was Spring Fling (5 years back) with PB and PB @ Secluded Forest Fest.. Turkey Bouillon Mafia-wakeup style!

too early to ask "got room for one"? I can offer gas money (duh), some decent although not-so-politically correct jokes (you know the ones), and a knoxville ticket.
