I didn\'t dig Tea Leaf too much my first time around in 2005 and pretty much wrote them off.  I gave them another shot last summer and downloaded some albums.  They grew on me after a while and I realized they make a lot of great songs.  Saw them live again when Reed joined last winter and was totally owned.  Saw em again this past June and they were excellent.  I\'m a big fan now, not quite to Leith\'s level of fanaticism, but definitely hanging in there with Fitz.  Basically, I wouldn\'t close the door on them yet.

I\'m still p***ed at them for not playing London when they came over to jaminthedam last year. However, I won\'t hold it against them too much.

Have followed these guys for almost as long as the Breakfast. Good to see therm getting some love here.

Funny their albums should be mentioned - I got into them through live recordings and have always been wary of the studio albums in case they might not match up to my expectations.  Are they any good? I can pick up Seeds, with the first three discs, for less than $20 inc postage.

i think seeds is good if you are already a big fan.

taught to be proud, rock n roll band, and raise up the tent are more listener friendly if you are new to the band. my favorite album is living in between, which is disc 3 of seeds. but i like them all. the first two still have some of my favorite songs on them.

set I: Baseball>One Reason, E&S (Blue Grass), Papa>Still Standing>Jezebel, Where\'s My Mind, Motorcycle, Honey Bee, Gas.

sorry, don\'t know set II. i just got the above from the band\'s list after the show. should have grabbed \'em both. rookie mistake, sorry.

trevor garrod, keys, was on an acoustic guitar and harmonica for where\'s my mind, motorcycle and honey bee, i believe it was. a heady chic in the crowd who was getting down and knew the songs from the first chords said it was the debut of the song motorcycle, which is a trevor tune. the band said they may have played it once before, they couldn\'t remember. hehehe.

adrian sat in for the majority of the second set and encore. he was playing bongos, cymbals, tambourine and an assortment of cow bells, i believe. matt vallo got a kick out of how adrian was bashing the cymbals with his tambourine. classic. after the show, tlg guitarist josh clark remarked that adrian has an incredible sense for music, that he can anticipate what\'s going to happen. he genuinely looked really impressed.

i gotta say i went in with really high expectations tonight and damn were they met! personally heard moments of influences ranging from the allman brothers to the grateful dead to pink floyd. i\'m eager for more. wednesday nyc here we come!

great lighting as well. they had a cool rig. well done.

and first impressions are that they\'re really chill guys, taboot. thanks to them and all the bfam in the house for another great night in new haven!!

Who wants to go to to Mexicali Blues in Teaneck, NJ on Tues and/or Highline Ballrooom in NYC on wednesday?

gas is cheap right now and the last 2 shows i saw were too good to stop now.
