I\'m not sure on the whole story of this, but last year George Bush decided it should be a week later than usual. I had no idea until my computers which I maintain were showing the incorrect time a week early (because they were on the original schedule). I then heard that to fix this problem Microsoft came out with a patch for major companies to buy that would fix this automatically. Somewhere around the $10K price tag. That\'s ridiculous. $10K to have your servers automatically change time. BS.

all our updates were free windows updates on XP/2003 server.

2000server and 2000 i had to do manually.

the linux/unix ones i did manually too, but i wasn\'t really sure what i was doing there, and i haven\'t had any complaints yet ;)

thats not good. if its not around anymore then it will be darker evenings in the summer because daylight savings begins in March and ends on November 1.

i would rather be in daylight savings time year round.

Well, since the clocks were changed... When I leave the house at 5:30, it\'s not pitch black. Makes me feel a lot better about being up that early. I don\'t have to lead horses out in the dark, stumbling over rocks/getting dragged down the hill in the dark by the naughty ones.  I can tell whether or not hay was thrown out for them the night before. This is much better than walking around with a flashlight trying to figure this out. Also, the horses are much quieter walking out when it is light out for some reason.

So I\'m pretty pleased with it.

This sentiment is, however, unique in the the agricultural sector (which I am technically a part of.) Most farmers really hate daylight savings.

do you ever have to whip those naught horses....... i can be naught....... :banwhip:

:wah:

I think it defeats the purpose if it\'s enjoyed...

Or maybe not.
