Simply put, a subpar game for Kobe. Now win Game 4.

Go Lakers!

Fourth Quarter last night was one hell of an entertaining basketball game.  Back and forth, back and forth.  For awhile there, I didn\'t think Orlando had it in them.   And then.....Kobe choked.  Wow.  he threw up a lot of bricks in those last few minutes, eh???  ;)  Leith, I\'m goating you.

I am so confident The Lakers are going to win, I am not even arguing with actual Orlando fans.

I can take what ever you dish out.

But didn\'t you think that last year vs. the Celtics?

I have this odd feeling that Orlando may give you the same run for your money that the C\'s did last year.  Don\'t be tooooo confident...

My feelings on last year\'s Finals were born of confidence in the team\'s growth since Gasol had joined and the belief (misguided as it was) that they could pull it off w/o Bynum.

My confidence this year is strengthened by a healthy Lakers team and the sting/experience of that Finals defeat to spur them on.

That and the fact that the magic played out of their heads shooting 63% for game 3 and still The Lakers almost pulled it out.

Oh and we have seen how your feelings pertaining to Basketball turn out. ;)

All I can say is: holy shit Derek Fisher! you may have just saved the Lakers\' season, or at least ruined the Magic\'s.

As clutch as it gets.

And let\'s not forget Trevor Ariza, who guided the initial comeback in the third.

This is gonna be sweet.

Go Lakers!

Games like that are what make being a sports fan--and the heartbreak which so often accompanies it--completely worthwhile.

I want to know if Van Gundy made his team watch the game over and over today.   Because WOW, they blew it.  First off, they totally could have wrapped up the entire game and avoided the OT.   Once in OT, their choice of shots....i think middle schoolers could have come up with better plays...why was Turkuglo constantly shooting????????

I have to say Lakers defense...fantastic in that OT.  They really shut Orlando out.

I like busting chops about the Lakers, but they deserved that win last night.  Orlando was outplayed in those last five minutes.

2 more games to go.
The Lakers are coming home for a Victory Parade not more games.

Well they got those 2 and that Parade is Wed.

Fucking hilarious how this all of a sudden "became a series" when they won that one game.

2008-2009 NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers!

Best franchise in the league by far.
15th championship out of 30 chances.
celts have 17 but only been to the finals 20 times.

Kobe has his 1st Finals MVP and the haters can eat a D!

Phil passes Red with his 10th Ring.

WOW what a season!

What a playoff run!

WHAT A CHAMPIONSHIP!!

i\'ll give you best franchise, but the celts aren\'t that far behind. i mean they do have fewer championships than the celts. plus the celtics have been MUCH better in head to head meetings in the championships.

but the lakers deserved it this year. would have been nice to see a healthy celtics team, from an entertainment standpoint. also would have been nice to see the magic not shit the bed completely. enjoy the offseason

they losing anybody during the summer?

Lakers over Orlando in 5

(channeling my inner Wolfman)

Are you ser? What a fantastic prediction. For those scoring at home, that was made on 5/30. That\'s before the Eastern Conference Finals were even more. That\'s back when David Carradine was still alive. That\'s back before Phenway. I\'m going to chalk that prediction right up there with Joe Namath and Super Bowl III. I am legend.
