So do the Hawks just match up really well with the Celtics? Or is Atlanta finally a decent team again?

I don\'t really follow the NBA until after the All-Star Break, when the players start trying.

Both.

That\'s true for a lot of teams, but believe me, the Celtics go 110% every night.

Last night, huge snowstorm, Breakfast is canceled, what do you do?  Go to the Celtics game and get 1/2 price tickets of course!  Good times!  What a show.  Lighting up the bulls with crazy moves everywhere.  And when I go to a game I don\'t care about the score so much as getting one thing: EDDIE HOUSE....FOR THREEEEEEEEEEEEE!  Got it 3 times last night!  Eddie House for 3 is my favorite moment in sports of all time.  Eddie House for 3 is better than an Ortiz walkoff, a Brady TD, and a Tim Thomas skate save combined.

The Celtics are better than last year.  The Big 3 are just as good, which is more than good enough.  Perkins is better.  House is better.  Powe and Allen are better.  And Rondo has gone from good-enough-to-start-for-a-champion to anything-less-than-starting-the-all-star-game-is-a-snub.  What a team.  16 in a row and counting.  Most nights it\'s over by midway 3rd quarter.  Oh my god.

Guess what all you little Laker fan bitches?  You\'re gonna have turd in your stocking come Christmas day.  When KG flushes on Lamar Odom, he\'ll be flushing the Lakers\' championship hopes down the drain with it.  Hang out with the family, open presents, and drink cocoa, but don\'t turn on the TV.  Celtics 105, Lakers 90.

I\'m sorry but no team can touch the Celtics right now. I\'ve watched my share of Laker games this season and I\'ll take The Cavs or the Hawks in a 7 game series against the Lakers.  The Lakers have had one of the easiest schedules thus far.  I don\'t mean to dump on the Lakers so much.  I do think they are the best team in the West but they definitely have to step up their defense if they want to go all the way.

ChrisPitch, man I can\'t believe your comments on LB.

The three greatest players ever:  Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson.

Two words (and one hyphen) for you: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

The leading scorer in NBA history, third leading rebounder, and third all-time in blocked shots (despite the fact that blocks weren\'t even a statistic until his fifth season in the league). The dunk was banned from college basketball because of his dominance. He was 88-2 in college, was a player of the year and three-time NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player, and still holds several single-season and career records at UCLA.

I\'d definitely put Kareem in my top 5. A definite case can be built for him for the greatest player ever. I still will put Magic and Bird ahead of him.  Remember in the 80 finals when Kareem when down with a sprained ankle and Magic played center and got 42 points, 15 assists and 8 rebounds.......That was cool.  If we\'re gonna talk college stats we gotta give it up for my boy Pete Maravich.

Do I remember something that happened in 1980? You must be new here. :drew:

Congratulations Boston Celtics
First NBA team to ever start a season 27-2
Franchise record 19-game game winning streak
About to smoke the Lakers on Chirstmas

I don\'t care about the records so much as MY DAWG and favorite Celtic of all time EDDIE HOUSE nailing a 30-footer at the buzzer with the Celtics up 16.  That was awesome!  House Money baby!

Well, obviously we all know (or at least most of us) that it matters way more in June, but damn it feels good whenever the Lakers beat Boston. Especially after last season. Especially to stop the streak. Especially since seemingly everyone had already crowned the Celtics.

Next time\'s in Boston on Feb. 5. Go Lakers!

If you wanna crown \'em, then crown their ass! lol

Enjoy the victory Lakers fans in Connecticut.  The turd that was supposed to be in your stocking is now burning on my menorah and making quite a stench.

Given who won last June and who I am quite sure will win this June, I can\'t say I\'m that upset over it.

What stinks worse than that turd Wolf was the Celtics performance last night against the juggernaut that calls itself the Golden State Warriors, who improved their record to a whopping 9-22 with that victory against your team.

It\'s amazing. In a span of about 24 hours Boston went from being the \'96 Bulls to the \'96 Celtics.

Go Lakers!

A week of Celtic games go by and there are nothing but crickets in the NBA thread. Kinda makes you wish for last year, doesn\'t it?
