Thank you Lakers for not only once again making it to the NBA Finals, but also for sparing me the anxiety of having to deal with a Game 7 during my first Phish show in five years.

Thank you Kobe for proving that you in fact are the best player in the league as you easily outshined Denver\'s superstar, who proved as soft as a deflated basketball.

Thank you Luke Walton for big minutes off the bench.

Thank you to Denver\'s fans for spending time making your hair into mohawks only to see the curtain fall on your team while they got their ass kicked at home.

Thank you Los Angeles Lakers!

Now win the fucking title!

Go Lakers!

The Lakers play like this in the Finals and I don\'t care what Jerry West says Orlando is not beating them.
Oh and the Cavs if they somehow survive will not have an answer for the team we saw tonight either.

The Lakers played like champions last night, but playing like that several games in a row has been the problem throughout the playoffs. But still, Kobe has the supporting cast to make sure that his team walks away with the trophy.

Lakers over Orlando in 5
Lakers over Cavs in 6

I don\'t wanna talk about it.
LeBron left the building w/o talking to reporters.

Definitely a "tactical error" by LeBron to not talk to reporters (and, even worse, to not shake hands with the Magic). I understand where he\'s coming from, and if he was usually a soft-spoken guy, it would be less of an issue. But, as the face of franchise, LeBron needs to be a leader in every circumstance.

The Magic went 3-1 against the Cavs in the regular season, a fact which most people wrote off as erroneous going into the Eastern Conference Finals. So I guess it\'s worth mentioning that Orlando took both meetings with the Lakers in the regular season. Though, in the interest of fairness, Orlando won the two games by a total of nine points and the two teams haven\'t played since January 16.

Should be a competitive series. I feel obligated to stand by my "Lakers in 5" prediction (just in case I\'m right), but I don\'t really believe it anymore.

Orlando is over matched. Lakers keep playing like this and the Magic are gonna get swept.

And that\'s why Kobe is the best player in the league. 18 in the third quarter! Are you kidding me?

No slouching though. Gotta take a 2-0 lead back to Disneyland.

Go Lakers!

fixed.

Jerry West is gonna eat his words picking Orlando.

Personally I think he just did it to motivate Kobe but I really don\'t think Kobe needs any more motivation than last year\'s Finals defeat.

2 more games to go.
The Lakers are coming home for a Victory Parade not more games.

Quote from: Dave Solomon, New Haven Register
That recurring facial expression seen on Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant — called a scowl, but more of a grrrrr — has to be the most rehearsed demonstration of passion ever perpetrated on the sporting public. Did you see that scowl once last year during the Boston championship series; once during the Lakers’ three championship seasons; once, just once, in his entire career prior to the last week and a half? Now, all of a sudden he cares so much more, he’s instinctively gritting his teeth?

I don’t think so.

But anyway... this was the turning point between a close series and a sweep. The Magic ran an absolutely perfect play to win the game and couldn\'t cash in. Maybe the Magic steals one in Orlando, but Lakers in 5 if not a sweep.

I used to work with Dave Solomon at the New Haven Register. In our sports deparment\'s fantasy football league, he once traded Marvin Harrison straight-up for Tony Banks. Need I say more?

Oh yeah, I almost shat myself at the end of regulation last night, but it was well worth it.

Go Lakers!
