Wait a minute! Do you mean to tell me that the almighty Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron "God\'s Gift to Basketball" James aren\'t going to go undefeated throughout the playoffs? You mean, they might actually lose a game now that they aren\'t playing the piece-of-shit Pistons and medicore Hawks? You mean, it takes more to crown a team a champion than having a good regular season? Pfffffffffffffftttttttttttttt................

Certainly no surprise to me.

Go Lakers!

I hope Cleveland\'s loss makes them that much nastier for the rest of the playoffs. I love Lebron, and want to see his team trample LA. Obviously the matchup is far from guaranteed, buuuut.... Regardless, this has shaped into one of the best final fours in recent NBA seasons. Star-power.
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

Google spider bumped the 07-08 NBA thread.  Got some laughs re-living the banter in there, specifically Leith posting this anytime the Lakers had a good game:

Quote from: Wolfman;170000

Kobe has no chance of carrying that sorry squad even if he were interested...and he\'s not interested. Too bad the Lakers shit the bed at the exact same time the Celtics got nasty!

Yeah well if Wolfman wasn\'t such a front running hoo haa we probably would have had the same type of fun banter this year.
I may think the guy is a twat but his basketball posts do make me laugh.

Tough loss for The Lakers.
Get one in Denver and it\'s all good.

I love the way you base people\'s devotion on how much they post about their favorite sports team on a MUSIC message board

As Kobe said after last night\'s stinging defeat, there\'s a reason why the Lakers are the best road team in the NBA. They\'ll win Game 3.

Go Lakers!

WOW LeBron to win!
Blew a 23 point lead but came out with the win.
Anyone that is not watching the Finals in both conferences is missing some GREAT basketball!

It\'s amazing what can happen when your best player takes the last shot in the final seconds (sarcastic cough).

What would you rather rely on to win a game:

a.) George Karl drawing up an inbounds play?
b.) Hedo Turkoglu single-covering the reigning MVP?

By the end of the playoffs, we will all be so tired of seeing Kobe\'s "mean face" (after hitting a three to put L.A. up 96-95). I wouldn\'t mind so much if I wasn\'t pretty sure he practiced that in the mirror all week.

I was just trying to recall my great moments in Kobe Bryant history..... and this gem came to mind.

From 2000 vs the Knicks....

The Celts are out.

I have to annoy the Lakers fans somehow....

Sorry darling you can\'t do it. The Celts are out and The Lakers are on their way to the Finals. Nothing you can post is going to annoy us in the least.
I repeat the celts are out and The Lakers are on their way to the Finals.

One of the most excruciating playoff games I\'ve ever watched. And one of the most exciting playoffs victories the Lakers have ever pulled out. Kobe put the team on his back and Ariza jumped aboard. Denver\'s blown its chance.

Go Lakers!

But in all seriousness, all kidding, and teasing aside,  good luck to your lakers.    No really.  Lakers in the finals will be a series to watch....
