Let me be the first to tell you all,

Sorry Chip

I\'d be surprised if more than 2 .info members got one night of Hampton filled

You all act like this is your first Phish show.

It would be great to see the first Phish show back again but really it is the nostalgia.

Save up for Summer Tour.

I\'ll get all three nights including somewhere in the first ten rows for at least one of em.

ticketmaster newbs and haters eat a D.

Have fun sitting at home checking the set lists and waiting for summer tour.

The kidz will be raging face.

Actually I don\'t even care to be honest.

But I\'ll still go after 5 years cuz it will still be way more fun than doing nothing even if it sucks worse than their worst show ever.

i\'m appalled and slightly disgusted to see the number of posts in this thread.

Really Duane?  This is PHISH coming back after 5 years off.  With the exception of the death of Jerry Garcia, this is only THE BIGGEST DEAL IN JAMBAND HISTORY.  You don\'t have to like Phish or have any desire to go see these shows, but really, what did you expect from this thread?  If this thread had LESS than 400 posts I would be disappointed in the Breakfast community.

Statistically, the "Sorry Chip" mentality is correct.  You saw my breakdown of the odds, it\'s not pretty.  Whoever posted that not more than 2 .infoers will get their orders filled is right on the money.  But despite my own statistical analysis, I still maintain that cosmic, unmeasurable, unpredictable forces affect the Phish ticket market more than any other.  You\'re going to see more .infoers in these shows than the odds would allow for, I just know it.

P.S. Klout, Hampton is always GA.  If you want first ten rows, all you gotta do is line up at the door at 3PM, wait 3 hours for the doors to open, then when the doors open shove kidz to the ground and step on top of them on your way by and you\'re all set ;)

I want to go, but I am skeptical about how good the Hampton shows will be.  It might be wise to wait until tour.  I have now twice witnessed great performers fail miserably on the grandest stage.  First it was this exact situation, the Phish comeback shows in Hampton in January \'03.  Then it was the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.  So for those who still think Phish is more or less invincible, just be warned that nothing is guaranteed.  If the 2007 18-0 Patriots could lose the Super Bowl, then Phish could suck at these 3 shows.  It\'s more possible than I\'d like to think.  Still, if any face value tickets happen for me, I\'m driving down, no doubt.

i\'m just stirring up a little shit and i do realize how excited some of you are....i do like phish and do hope to see them. it\'s just....
1. after the way it ended last time
2. it\'s likely a pay opportunity more than a desire to be together (IMHO)
3. it\'s 6 months away!!!
4. it has more interest on this board than anything else apparently.

no offense intended....like i said....just starting some shit. enjoy it!!! (the event...not the stirred shit.)  ;)

I do hope that the economy and gas prices keep a noticeable number of people away from Phish shows.  It\'s not like we need any more people in the lot.

Hehe the odds of that are the same as the odds of The Breakfast headlining 2 nights of Bonnarroo.

I have had that discussion with people before wolfman.  We were saying the other day that touring the country with phish when gas was like $1.25 was the pinnacle of the age of cheap oil.  Once in a lifetime, no once in HUMAN HISTORY event! We might make electric cars, or biofuels, or hydrogen, but you will NEVER again be touring the country with reckless abandon on ridiculously cheap hyrdocarbon fuels.

No doubt, the glory days of touring are behind us all.  Phish isn\'t getting any better and gas isn\'t getting any cheaper.  (Although the optomist could counter that Phish is getting better by definition since they\'re playing again and gas is down over $1.00 per gallon in the last 4 months.)  I think you\'ll still see a decent amount of trustafarian and drug-dealer tourheads doing every lot, but total tourhead numbers will obviously be way down, which is a good thing for everyone.  And if you think you\'re paying your way through tour by selling rocks, bowls, jewelry, grilled cheese, or any other legal gobbledygook, you\'re in for a big surprise.  Lot lockdown is rampant across the country and most people in the lot didn\'t travel very far to get there and thus will not be dependant on the lot to sustain them.  This part actually makes me kinda sad, I like the shakedown, but this shit is gonna be a "LOT" different this time around.  (Pun completely intended.)
