just found this site:

http://www.seatgeek.com

It forecasts whether in demand ticket will go up or down in price leading up to the show.  It also does a search engine search of secondary market ticket sites to show you the best prices available.

Can I get a close up on one of the lottery tickets? Do you think a regular guy like me will ever be able to hold one of those fancy tickets?

Open to all:
Red Bobblehead for your extra?
Cactus Bobblehead for your extra?
Henrietta Bobblehead for your extra?

or maybe you are a
Leo Bobblehead for your extra?

or you might be a
CK5 Bobblehead for your extra?

Shit, if you really want, maybe a
Bad Lieutenant Bobblehead?

possibly a
Chairman of the Boards Bobblehead?

I guess what I am getting at here with all these Bobbleheads is
Bobbleheads For Your Extra?

Do not give up all that is you in times of desperation! Stubhub, instead.

ive never done stub hub have you ever been screwed by it ?

YES.  AVOID STUBHUB.  Almost all other online agencies own their tickets or the rights to them.  Yes the prices suck, but if you\'re willing to pay the posted price, you get the tickets, that\'s it.  Not so on Stubhub.  All Stubhub does is contact the person who owns them to see if they\'re still willing to sell at the price they posted.  They do this AFTER you pay and they are SLOW.  A few years ago I tried stubhub for something.  I bought 2 tickets 3 weeks in advance and am told that tickets are coming in the mail.  I make all my other arrangements to be at the event.  4 days before event, I call to ask where the tickets are, they say the seller isn\'t willing to sell at that price anymore, but I can have them for 50% more, and if I don\'t there\'s a 10% cancellation fee.  This was unbelievable because A. They never even called me, I had to call them to learn this shortly before the event B. They had all my money the whole time and C. They changed the price after shipping was confirmed and D. They held me hostage by threatening to steal 10% if I didn\'t give them 50% more.  Also note that their posted prices are nowhere near the price you pay after fees.  Everything gets marked up 25-40% by the time you\'re done.  Go on and try it, click all the way through to the last step and that Phish ticket advertised for $80 will be $115...and that\'s assuming they don\'t raise the price again later.

That sucks Wolfy...

For my Phish Fenway tickets I had to use StubHub and at the last minute they said my tickets were no longer available and made me go pick up some nosebleed seats at the Boston Stub Hub office.

Finding StubHub\'s office after getting off the party bus was a bitch... I had to ditch the party bus peeps and run off to find this thing. The seats I originally had were pretty decent... the ones I ended up getting made it hard to see or hear the band well at all.

Then again I did get moved out of the rain ;)

for people familiar with Albany, think it\'s safe to walk 1.5 miles from the venue to the hotel after the show, or is it a sketchy/unsafe walk?
