Fair enough but the ballads on this album are certainly more triumphant than your typical piano ballad much more complex.

Everyone needs a good cry now and then yoda everyone.

I do know that; I\'m not a heartless bastard... I don\'t have whole albums that I listen to, just certain songs:

My Father\'s House - Bruce Springsteen
He\'s Gone - Grateful Dead
In Your Honor - Foo Fighters
He Was A Friend Of Mine - Bob Dylan
Fade Into You - Mazzy Star
Sistinas - Danzig
Cemetary Gates - Pantera
Danny Boy - Harry Connick Jr. version from Memphis Belle

In all honesty, movie\'s hit me worse than songs:

- The end of Return of the Jedi (original version) when the spirits of Yoda and Obi Wan are joined by Anakin Skywalker
- When Burgis Meredith dies in Rocky III and in Grumpier Old Men (he reminds me of my grandfather)
- Big Fish

I may be a prick on here most of the time, but I do have normal human feelings...

I haven\'t heard, but I highly doubt that it\'s as good as Sgt. Peppers... There are few albums that can\'t get to that level...

Indeed. Give it a listen start to finish. IMO it\'s actually a better and much more enjoyable and heady album than anything by the Beatles, but of course Elton John probably would not have charted this territory without their influence.

"Where to Now St. Peter" is old school psychedelic rock at its best! "Burn Down the Mission", "Amoreena", .... shit, you know what. There isn\'t a remotely bad song on this album. There are one or two songs that are very mellow ("Come Down in Time"... beautiful... and "Talking Old Soldiers" ... depressing but deep) but this is some of the best music ever made. The album is sort of a concept album, with a "western" theme and songs referencing the civil war and such.

Here\'s an active bittorrent link for the album:

I don\'t know if you guys have ever seen Elvis Costellos show Spectacle. He basically interviews musicians and then plays with them its pretty cool. Elton John was on one of the shows and they talked a lot about tumble**** connection. It was very interesting where some of his musical influences came from. I will try to look it up on the old youtube machine
I scratch my mind I think about life and stuff sometimes but shits ruff!

man, these new hampton rumors have me crazy! 12/17/2009 would be exactly ten years to the day from when jill and i first met, at hampton, 12/17/1999. she was sitting in front of me and my buddy and noticed when we started talking about a car with md personalized bbfcfm plates. my buddy had the va bbfcfm plates. anyway, she heard us talking about it, turned around and said, \'that\'s my car!\'. and now, ten years later, we\'re married and have bought a house! so i called the hampton box office and begged for any info so i can get a headstart on a fancy room. i explained why, and while the lady there thought it was a very sweet and cute story, didn\'t have jack to say about whether there was gonna actually be a show...

So back to the Halloween cover set...  If they covered The Wall, would it be the set from the album or the live set.  The live set includes What Shall We Do Now? and the album does not... I\'ve also been thinking that Alive II is not so much of a stretch... The crowd would eat the make up thing (and would explain the need for all the hours between set 1 and 2)... The album is a series of KISS hits and doesn\'t include Rock and Roll All Night; obvious encore...  Imagine this: You Wanted The Best, Well You Got The Best. The Greatest Band In The World.  PHISH!!!!...
