van halen will not be played. trey doesn\'t fingertap

This makes me wonder.... why? And also... thinking back, have I heard Trey fingertap even a little? I can\'t really think of an incident, like, ever....

Does he consider it a hack technique or what? I mean it\'s certainly not beyond Trey\'s capabilities to do. Timmy P rages it tastefully and creatively within the context of a jam.

Guess I\'m sort of glad though. By intentionally seemingly never fingertapping Trey has developed some other pretty original ways to run his own flavor of fast-lick style runs. The fact that some of Trey\'s jams are so damn intense without even using the "fingertap option" says a lot for the guy.

Or else maybe he just really got sick of listening to hair bands finger tap every single note and decided that was the wackness.

i would love to hear trey\'s thoughts on fingertapping.

i think when he was discovering his style he was more concerned about tone (amps, effects, etc.) and it shows with his unique sound and crazy ability to sustain a note for hours with ease.

Is there a website that is keeping track of all the axes in a single text-based list?

Seriously, there are way too many to scroll through, not to mention i don\'t spend my time memorizing record covers.

Phish has made an interesting change to this album cover... Me hopes that it\'s a sign of things to come...

Check out Jamptopia for a bunch of changes to albums on there.

Strange things are afoot in the haunted gallery, as a number of album covers have started to get a Phish-themed makeover.

Phish are in the sardine can on Hello Nasty
The hot dog vendor on Pretzel Logic is sporting a viking hat
The Boss is playing a Languedoc
Trey and Page are moving a keyboard on Moving Pictures
T-Rex is now T-rey
Tom Petty is wearing a Phish shirt
Mike Gordon has joined the Ramones (added 10/7)
Just as it was starting to feel really repetitive, this is a great twist to keep things interesti
