Everything seems to pointing towards Indio. I would not be surprised if it turned out to be on the Bonnaroo grounds, since SuperFly/AC own most of the farm nowadays and the members of Phish are well acquainted with the site. The only drawback would be the weather, Average high and low for that area is around 65/44, which in my opinion is perfect weather for a camping festival, but that\'s just me.

My preference would be Vegas, but alas, it wouldn\'t be a \'Phish Festival\'. Only because flights are relatively cheap, and I can get a suite at the Rio for $0.00 (or a sweet suite for $200 or so for 4 nights).

I heard the Indio place is really strict though. Brightly lit camping grounds, no grills, booze, etc, 11 pm curfew.

my money is on B-ROO!

I\'m glad glad glad that Phish is doing a festival.  Great for fans.  But my personal interest level in going is just about 0.  Bonnaroo was enough for me for one year, and I\'m already over my vacation time and praying work doesn\'t notice, so attending isn\'t even an option anyhow.

But even if I had time off, I\'d sit it out.  They\'re sounding really good right now and I\'ve loved the shit out of all 8 shows I\'ve trekked to this year.  If you\'ve read my articles from Hampton, Fenway, and Bonnaroo you know that I\'ve had nothing but positive things to say about the shows as a whole.  But to me they\'re not good enough yet to justify enduring the cost and hassle that comes with a Phish festival.  I\'m not suggesting anyone shouldn\'t go, it\'s a personal choice for everyone and you\'re completely right if you think it\'s worth it.  For me it\'s not.

One thing I would hope for the fest is that they set up some other stages and invite other bands.  After watching 10-14 hours of music per day at Bonnaroo, the subject came up of, "What the fuck did we used to do all day at Phish festivals?"  I mean really, I can\'t remember one thing I did at any Phish festival besides see Phish.  I\'m fine with them hogging the spotlight from 6-11 every night to play 3 sets, that\'s the whole point, but from 12-6 and then again from 11pm-4am they should be offering something more.

Have fun!  I hope it\'s somewhere good!

all that is very true....they also bring out the helicopter, spot lights and bull horn to tell everyone to shut it down...you also cant camp next to your car...you had to park and walk with all your gear but it wasnt a big deal at all....they really go through everything...sunglasses case, wallet, serious pat down...lots of cops this place was no joke...but it is also set in a swanky area...it was really very pretty looking out at the mountains and such...however...hotter then the roo fo sho...way hotter.....not so much shade....

It\'s polo club. They have rules.  You can\'t have Phish fans running amok like in Alpine.  God forbid- someone might shit in the stables.

I thought this shit was kangfirmed @ the High Sierra location in Cali ?

Either way.... bunk moves on part of Phish. Well, lucky for west coast kids I guess but Phish is a Northeast band and that\'s where their fests belong imo.

I am anything but high on phish these days but I would probably go even it was in Cali.  Some of the best times I have ever had in this life were at lemon wheel, Oswego, BiG C etc.  Coventry stunk musically but good times nonethe less.

indio = coachella\'s spot

i think those four states are no longer possibilities, thus they\'re grayed out. but who knows.

and i\'m not sure if i\'d want other stages of bands at a phish fest. i liked the band they had at big cypress playing on the balcony in the city, but that was just some guys frm the camp ground. a phish fest is about phish and other bands would get pretty seriously ignored, i\'d imagine. maybe some folks would wander by, but nobody but that band\'s hardcores are gonna make sure they catch any other band but phish (assuming these are lower level bands, not big names - and if they bring big names, ticket prices have to go up). i mean, i\'m not opposed to it, but a midday, evening and night set of phish each day is about 6 hours of music a day and thus plenty of music, for me.

if i want to see a bunch of bands, i\'ll go to a \'regular\' festival. at a phish festival, i just want phish...

What if the other bands were phish related:

- The Trey Anastasio Band
- Pork Tornado
- SerialPod
- Page McConnell Solo

I\'m still trying to figure out how they\'re going to pull this off...
The best music is essentially there to provide you something to face the world with - Bruce Springsteen
