The 2nd set and encore where good enough to make forget I was very cold and a little damp. They really pulled me in during Bathtub Gin and didn\'t let go.  They were better than I expected them to be at this point and I\'m extremely optimistic about the rest of the tour.

I\'m also thrilled about 3 debuts.  Not necessarily the songs themselves (though I liked Ocelot, and I\'m undecided on the other 2) but that they are writing and playing new music. I can\'t stress how important it was to me that they not become a nostalgia act.  I also think writing and playing new music is really good for the overall quality of the shows.  It keeps the them fresh, creative, and sharp.  I think playing new stuff will help them to play the old stuff better. Did that make any sense?

here\'s a stitched panoramic i took from behind home plate. it\'s not perfect, but it\'s pretty cool. the sky was still ugly and the rainbow was out. i\'ve resized it to a width of 2400:

I think that it was a great show, but where i was the sound quality was horrible. I could barely hear any of the vocals, Page (30%) and I caught about 85% of trey, mike and fish came through fine.

What can you expect, fenway was not designed with sound wave propogation in mind.

Also, 3 kids were ejected around me.

so row 9 in A7 is actually 3rd row, about 10 feet from the monster, not that bad of seats at all, bass was loud and clear where we were, and Mike sounded very good during his solo at the end of YEM. Great 2nd set. Can\'t wait til friday

Speaking of Mike\'s bass solo... is it me or did he tease the bass riff from trey\'s solo song "the way I feel" a few times?

phish could play the greatest show in the world, and there would still be clueless twits sitting at home on their computers bitching about it. last night was a solid show.

fo real.

last night was fucking awesome.  i didn\'t sit down or stop dancing at any point.  thank you nick/zuke for hooking me up with the best seats i\'ve ever had. we were 7th row sec a5 (page side).  fucking unbelievable.  ran into a decent amount of people from this crowd and other friends of mine, but didn\'t see all of you guys which i was sort of surprised about but oh well.

did anyone else hear the brown note during yem? lyrics slip up in down with disease? what planet was i on last night?

the next 2 weeks will be fun. enjoy the internet everyone!

I came to one conclusion after last night\'s show.

I am out of shape.

Getting more excited based on these reviews. Yeah Phish.

So true.  This is just how a lot of people get their kicks from Phish; not going to shows and bitching about them on the internet, utterly out of touch with the joy and happiness and good to great music that is happening at shows right now.  Hey, to each his own.  I like experiencing Phish by going to shows, and I think they sound really good... more happiness for me!

A lot of these "twits" don\'t really mean it either, the internet just lends itself to a bathroom-stall-wall-style contest to see who can outdo the last guy to write more ridiculously offensive nonsense.  I think Klout is hilarious.  He\'s often the most quotable person on .info, especially when he\'s speaking in the negative.  The way he rails on shit is awesome.  It\'s like Statler and Waldorf times 10.  And at the end of the day, I don\'t think he really means it.  I think there are other people out there who are simply better at writing negative and aren\'t as well written when being positive, so in order to be relevant on message boards they get caught in the peculiar position of, "If you don\'t have anything mean to say, don\'t say anything."
