Great times in Buffalo. Dave did a great job putting this event on. Nice setting right in the heart of campus. Decent sized crowd that kept filling in throughout the night. Show ran about 3 hours with a 20-25 minute setbreak. The weather was perfect for an outdoor event. Inner Glimpse and Coma had good sized opening jams before being their usual selves. The show really got started during the Psygn jam and didn\'t let up. Personally, the first ~7 minutes of Psygn bore me but it always comes through once the verses are over. This one didn\'t disappoint. Rufus was way out there and had a solid bass and drum solo towards the end which made for a nice segue into Metropolis. This has been my favorite song of the Summer and they really nailed the new arrangement. If Dangle\'s next song if half as good I think we\'re all in for a treat.
Second set opened with TLATG > OE and was out of control. They even played out the ending to OE for a little bit and got into a nice Reggae jam. Buquebus was its usual Upstate monster. I didn\'t keep a clock on this one but if you count the opening jam my guess is it was probably in the low to mid 30s. The May Fly ran about 20 minutes and had a great opening jam. It actually broke away from the main song towards the end for a completely different sound. Though past curfew, they came back out for a quick song which I figured would be COP. Tim shredded it as usual and they left everyone wanting more.
Looking forward to this recording. Get ready to kick yourselves after you hear it.
Don\'t miss Upstate shows.
