so if we\'re talking about bands as undercover as phish, we should mention (and i am not tryinbg to be an ass, just simply trying to guide as i have been guided):

the grateful dead (i recommend any show in \'69-\'74 or \'77 to start with)

you should check out the beatles (not the "1" album) i\'d recommend Sgt Pepper, REvolver, Magical Mystery, White Album, Abbey Road

Rolling Stones: Exile on Main St, Sticky Fingers, Let it Bleed, Beggars Banquet

Frank Zappa: Were Only in it for the Money, Roxy and Elsewhere, Grand Wazoo, Waka Jawaka, Chungas Revenge, JUst Another Band From LA

Jimi Hendrix: Are you Experienced, Electric Ladyland, Axis Bold as Love

Derek and the Dominos: Layla and Other Love Songs (great, great album)

then go get greatest hits albums by:
Creeedence Clearwater Revival, Jethro Tull, Cream, James Gang

Boyz II Men: II  (you may already own this, if you\'re really cool)

if you\'ve never heard Sublime, get 40 Oz to Freedom and Robbin the Hood

Oh yea and check out Cornmeal, they rock
caress me, aunt jemima

heyy. you guys should check out the band Phish and then listen the the song farmhouse.

I now have 100% permission to break anyones neck who ever calls me a newb again (that means you robyn)

Just kiddin man, when I was in my junior year of highschool I was still listening to Silverchair

Oh wait...

Unfortunately this site is full of a bunch of disgruntled ex-phish fans who dont like farmhouse because it only has about 6 chords in it.  Slowly but surely your phish listening will expand my friend.

Unfortunately long gone, but if you like Hendrix you should check out the Band of Gypsys recordings as well.

Also, Psychedelic Breakfast. They\'re kinda like The Breakfast only younger...
Plant yourself in the minds of others so you may grow in them as you do yourself.
