This is crap:

http://bruins.nhl.com/tickets/09playoffs.htm

Those prices are up 800% from standard!

I almost bought then, but not at those prices. Wow.

Did you think that they were going to stay the same price as regular season?  The prices always go up the deeper in the post season you get.  If I were you and you could drop $66 for a ticket, I would grab seats in sections 303, 302, 301, 330, 329, 314, 315, 316, 317, 318.  That way you\'re at the game and you can see the whole ice for a reasonable price...

Also, I went last year in the first round for normal prices

I\'m not sure what to tell you... I\'m not going to flame you for not wanting to spend a wad of cash to see a game when it\'s going to be televised, but I merely suggested some reasonable price tickets as shown on the site you linked above...  I can\'t honestly say that I have gone to a WS or NHL playoff/SC game that I didn\'t get the tickets free from someone...  With the Devils, I was lucky in the past; one of my wife\'s vendors used to get us John McClean\'s seats and we were lucky enough to be there for both numbers to be retired... I didn\'t want to pay $55 for bleacher seats to YS for Old Timers Game, but I sucked it up and I\'ll be there... But I\'m not one to talk about money because I\'m probably not going to see TB tomorrow because I don\'t have anyone to go with me and I don\'t feel like paying $36 for travel/cover charge...

I haven\'t had those seats in a couple years, but anything is possible... You might have to fight my wife for that ticket and she\'s 6 months pregnant...

???

Not flaming, just pointing out that I\'m looking at my 2007 ALCS Game 7 stub right now.  Section 17.  Face value: $125.  Regular season price for that seat that year: $50.  I also recall entering the World Series ticket lottery that year; bleachers started at $60, normal price on upper bleachers was $18 that year.  I have also just purchased two tickets for the Celtics round 2 game 7 from a season ticket holder friend.  Section 19, regular season $49.50, second round $85.

But I mean, this is the ALCS and World Series and NHL playoffs, I have no problem with any of this.  The events are more important, the prices should be higher.  Yeah, it\'s depressing when all but the lowest price tier are out of your price range, and the few tickets you can afford don\'t even go on sale to the public.  But hey, like I\'ve said in the Phish thread, these tickets are the playthings of the privileged.  The ownership of these teams should not leave millions of dollars on the table and sell these tickets for regular season prices out of the goodness of their heart.  That would be dumb.  If your owner is that dumb, your team would never be in the playoffs in the first place.  Furthermore, if your owner graciously turns down millions of dollars, then he never would have had enough money to buy the team in the first place.

I stand corrected.

The AHL does not do this, though.

Seriously thought the Rangers were going to get their act together last night and come from way behind in the 3rd period.  Caps were just too damn good last night.

As a Ranger Fan to another Ranger Fan, WHY ?

I knew as soon as it was 3-1 we weren\'t coming back. When was the last time / anytime this season that the Rangers have scored 4 or even 5 goals. Yes Game 1 but before that it was a while and never when trailing by that many goals

It is really simple. If the rangers don\'t score first  they are basically done. They play pretty well with a lead and lean on Hank to carry them to victory. When they get behind they have to take chances and the leave Hank out to dry.

I wouldn\'t be surprised if Hank was exhausted and just doesn\'t have it in the tank in games 5 and 6. He basically stole the 3 games they won. Now having said all of this he COULD win game 7 but he needs some help and the team seems to be imploding around him at the worst possible time.

WHY DID THEY SCRATCH ORR $%^!$@%^!!!! If there was 1 game we needed him that was DEF it.

So the rangers and devils are out and the thread dies.

First off, Vancouver needs to figure out that games last 60 minutes, not 20. I think all Chicago has to do to win the series is not completely blow the first period, and then win the second two because the canuks are dead.

The Ducks are ser challengers. That was a sick (if not long) game Sunday, and at the end, as I think it always is in long overtimes, the team that wanted it the most won. And the ducks won.

Meanwhile, Friday was TD night at the TD Banknorth Garden where TD = Total Domination.

I am not quiet sure what happened last night, but I think that the bruins decided not to play for the first 50 minutes.

The thread dies because no one will honestly watch VS. when their team has been eliminated... All that I\'m looking for is the following - Boston loses and Pitt loses... If that happens, I\'ll be happy with whoever win the cup (preferably someone from the Eastern Conference)...
