Screw Boston - this game should really be at Yankee Stadium...

Why ?

If they were going to do it, they should have done it this year. The new building means nothing at all. No history no nothing. just a new stadium

At least fenway is one of the last great old ball parks.

And I guess I have to eat a little crow over my Ranger bashing. They looked pretty good against Montreal but of course no one knows which team will show up each night

Sorry, I just hate Fenway.  It\'s not a Yankee/Red Sox or I hate boston thing.  I actually like the city of boston, but that stadium basically has one road in/out and the bathrooms are disgusting...  Last time I was there, they still had troughs in the mens room... I might consider going back when they join the 20th century (forget the 21st century) and replace them with urinals...

I\'m very comfortable with my penis, Freddie, thank you... What I have a problem with is other people\'s urin splashing in my direction.  I didn\'t invite them to piss on me, so why should I unvoluntarily have to accept their splashback?  If you\'re okay with getting someone else\'s piss on you, then you\'re a better person than me...

Fenway Park has been confirmed as 2010 Winter Classic setting

By: Joe Haggerty
0 Comments PrintA hockey source familair with the proceedings has confirmed to WEEI.com that the 2010 NHL Winter Classic will take place at Fenway Park on Jan. 1 with the Boston Bruins taking on an as-yet-undetermined opponent. The two most speculated opponents for the Fenway game have been the New York Rangers and the rival Montreal Canadiens, with the Habs the more likely of the two natural rivals. The Boston Herald first reported the story.

After the last two NHL Winter Classics have gone without a Canadian hockey team, it\'s expected there will be pressure exerted by the powers that be North of the Border to get the Canadiens involved in the Boston game. Bet on B\'s and Habs Jan. 1 at Fenway, and a banged out ballpark with mittens, hot cocoa and earmuffs as far as the eye can see. Should be a once-in-a-lifetime type event.

The Jacobs dude has called shenangans on this.

But I will be there when it happens.

Well if the Rangers keep getting these ridiculous calls maybe

I root for the Rangers and even I was calling BS on that first goal.

I cannot believe the refs let Naslund hack away at the goalies glove for that long without a whistle. He clearly had the puck under his glove. The refs injected themselves way too much in to the game and they are pretty much responsible for how it got out of hand a bit.

But I think we match up better with Boston than AO and the caps. That isn\'t saying a whole lot but if I had to choose I think I would pick Boston.

So Game one has been played.

WHAT A GOAL BY DUBI!!!!!!!!!

We were going nuts last night. They were really lucky surviving to get the win. Hopefully Drury can play in Game 2 because they really could have used him in the faceoff circle last night. Not to mention his penalty killing skills

Really looking forward to the bruins game tonight. I think that series is going to be awesome

I got this link sent to me and thought it was funny as hell

Also, I was surely disapointed by the performance of the Flyers. Three goals on odd-man rushes?

That\'s just not playing very hard.

I watched most of the st. louis vancouver game, and it easily could have been 5-1. I didn\'t know van had such good offense.

I have to say, I am always torn when the Rangers play the Caps.  So this series will have me going back and forth.   The Caps to me are a young team building to become something great.  But the Rangers, they\'ve been the team i\'ve cheered for with my Pops since i was a kid....

glad to see them pull off game 1.

This is going to be a great series.

I would like to say that Bruins v Canadians is the second biggest rivialry in Boston sports.
