So why was it exactly that Breakfast either opted to or had to play acoustic as an opening act for TLG?

I can\'t imagine this is the best way to win over new fans. Lets face it... Breakfast needs to be plugged in for full effect.
Put the pointed pencil in the pepper-po and take a little sniff of the things below. :sadban:

i was unhappy about the fact that they were playing acoustic going into the show, but as it turns out, i think it was the best thing they could have done. they sounded terrific, and plus they got to plug in when they sat in with TLG.

great night all around. wish the breakfast got more than 45 minutes, but they got more than their fair share of stage time with TLG, which they certainly shined during.

oh, and i thought the TLG show was fantastic. definitely enjoyed it much, much more than i thought i would.

Tim and Adrian sat in on Precious Stone and The Garden (Part 3) in set 2, and Franz Hanzerbeak in the encore. Matt was up there for Precious Stone and Franz Hanzerbeak.

Precious Stone would be in that category for me. This song alone was worth twice the price of admission!
