hmmmm.... i tried to post in here earlier...
anyway, one shot deal is good. its sorta zappa\'s zone one, in that its mostly just the guitar solos. not entirely, but largely. i\'ll look for the disc tonight so i can sendspace it, because i am firmly opposed to gail getting a single fucking dime from anyone until she gets her head out of her crusted twat!
also, check out zappateers for some good shows to d/l! there\'s an \'88 sbd over there, as well as some great earlier shows (75, halloween 76 with tommy smothers singing muffin man.... sorta...). check it out!
don\'t worry about me, j, i already got it (OSD). I am way more excited about lumpy money\'s orchestral version of lumpy gravy. somewhat skeptical about the other discs, but as long as this comes out before xmas i hope to add t to my collection.
and the zappateers rock! ton of goodies from the Lowell George days, the aud recording of the full JABFLA show, a bunch of headie soundboards, its sweet
bdfreetuna, people love FZ for several reasons. if all you listen to is songs that bfast, phish, or other jambands cover, you are missing a lot.
listen to grand wazoo. then imagine composing and arranging the entire thing, like every part for every instrument.
still not impressed?
listen to You Can\'t Do That On Stage Anymore vol 2. In disc 1, you hear a bunch of music that makes reba sound like mary had a little lamb. the band is extremely tight, and FZs guitar work is yop notch on all tracks.
if you still dont dig, bujak\'s got a big tub of udder butter and he\'s waiting for you with a heady deemster pak
(no offense jef, i\'m just trying to make a point)
zuke, your musical opinion has been proven worthless unless we\'re talking about untz, so you\'ve been excused
