come on now, chuck...

first of all, there\'s currently THREE jersey shows on the schedule. when has that EVER happened?? sure, two of them are opening slots, and only one i can really understand, but still. there\'s three shows scheduled in a state that used to go several months without getting a show from these guys.

secondly, whether you love or hate TLG, you have to at least be able to recognize that this is a fantastic opportunity for the breakfast.

finally, these opening slots are where the bfam, if they really, truly give a shit, need to come out early and come out big, especially if you want them to play in your state more often. venues take notice of this type of thing.

so instead of pregaming and then going to see the breakfast, use the breakfast as your pregame before whatever else you\'re gonna do with your night. that\'s a pretty good pregame if you ask me.

::answers question with a question::

when has the breakfast ever had 3 shows in the same state on the schedule at the same time that wasnt CT/RI/MASS/NY ????  exactly dave.

meh.

ive given TLG a very fair shot several times and have no interest in seeing them again.  i will be out for the breakfast if tix arent expensive since i live 20 minutes away but im surely not paying more than 10-15 bucks to get a 45 minute blue balls breakfast set where they prolly arent gonna throw down any super big songs and just play to the TLG crowd.

oh and posty, can you shoot me the number of htat place, i think i know some people who need it more than i do  :)

10/06 - CO (3 Times) / CA (4 Times)
5/07 - PA (3 Times)
10/07 - CO (3 Times)
4/08 - CA (3 Times)

Remember that this was also during a time where Jordan left the band and they were trying to make it as a trio and when Ron wanted to only play in the NE/New England area.  I may not enjoy TLG, but you have to admit that they have a larger following and a larger presence on the scene.  Would you scoff the same way if they were opening for one of the Phish side projects at the same venue, me thinks not.  Make a night of it; go see TB and then go get a 2X pie at Pete and Elda\'s.
