yeah, ronaldo blew it, and then terry blew it even worse.  pretty brutal. i hate penalty kicks tho, they should do the golden goal in those games

i went out to Newport with some friends to watch the match. i really wanted to see Chelsea take it but i guess it wasn\'t in the cards... again.... i\'m pissed tho because we ended up having to leave before OT and the penalty kicks... i hope i recored it so i can see what went on after i left.

Truth. The Southern Connecticut men\'s soccer season ended via penalty kicks in a scoreless match in the NCAA Tournament. No goalkeeper should have to lose like that.

Have to say it was a good game - even though I am an Arsenal fan (when will we ever win something again??). Sooooooo glad when Ronaldo fluffed his penalty as he\'s an arrogant sh*t (even though he probably is the best player in the world at the moment). Felt sorry for Terry slipping as he did in the atrocious conditions, but not sorry enough not to enjoy this:

Excellent day for Giggsy though - beating Charlton\'s appearance record and scoring the winning penalty. A true Welsh legend!!

GREAT day. I agree with bezerks on the penalties... should be Golden Goal after Extra Time.

That being said, fucking insane. I tied one on real thick during and after that game, it\'s so weird and wonderful to celebrate a big championship for a team I support!

I\'m still coming to grips with the Revolution\'s crushing loss to the Houston Dynamo in last year\'s MLS Cup Final.

I was very confused by this thread until I realized that it had returned from the dead

btw since we are talking about old news, how about that excellent victory by the US vs Guatemala?
