the surprising thing is he put it on what appears to be my exact bike or pretty damn close to it, same color pattern and everything. Not bad considering it\'s a small spanish brand.

This thread definitely reminded me to ride to work today (after a 6-mile run + half hour at the gym).

Wolfman, how is your route to work?  Somerville -> Boston, or are you living in a new place now?  I don\'t recall many bike lanes in the city.

Riding a bike to work is a nice concept if you live close enough to work, but I\'m not about to bike 25+ miles via the Garden State Parkway (which I believe is illegal).  That being said, riding a bike for a prolonged period of time - not fun; that\'s why I always chose a skateboard as my means of transportation before I had a car.

I tried to pull something together this week.  But the 22 miles from home to work is too much for a doughy b like me.  It would have worked if they would let me take the train from Mlfd to Bpt (11 minutes), would have cut the commute down to 9 miles.  But Metro North has a no bike rule during peak hours.

So fuck the earth, and fuck bike week

My route is awesome.  I live in Lower Allston on the opposite side of the turnpike from the sports depot.  My ride is 3.9 miles, 3.4 of which is all on bike paths.  I ride along the river bike path from the Genzyme building all the way to Mass Ave, then ride a treacherous .4 miles on Mass Ave, then I\'m right back onto another path at the Mass Ave T stop all the way to the stony brook stop where the brewery is.  38 minutes, half along the river.  Just awesome.  Boston is teeming with bike paths and lanes, it\'s great.

nice job out of you wolfman, that bike sounds like a great investment you made. I drove today, but I need to get some better clothes on the way home. Down side to going in at 3am and getting out at 1:30, morning temperature 35f, afternoon 49f. Still a little cold, Have to suck it up.

Good to hear they are adding bike lanes all over the place.

Are you gonna continue to bike to work in the winter, too?

I\'ve got a friend out in Newton who bikes downtown every day of the year, rain, snow and all.
