I meant to see this last weekend, but didn\'t get a chance.  I\'m planning on going to a late show some night after work.  I can\'t wait.

I just hit my indie theatre bookmark and CHOKE literally jumped off my screen and into my throat. Can\'t say I recall what I\'ve seen Rockwell in, but I know his face and not for any negative reason. I am a huge Anjelica Huston fan though. The write-up sounds solid.. Clever really.

I think I\'ll go on a date with myself tomorrow night if I don\'t accidentally get drunk first.

Just watched the trailer. I\'ll definitely be seeing it soon.

The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

This and that made me unable to see this in the theater.  Coming out on dvd in Feb.-

Choke Comes to DVD February 17th
Movie Choke (2008) Posted By: PuppetMaster

CHOKE is coming to DVD Feb 17th and below you can checkout the specs. Based on the novel by Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club), Choke is a dark and wickedly funny joyride from the depths of sexual compulsion to the heights of the Second Coming!  Beside working at a colonial reenactment theme park and trying to hook up with everything on two legs, sex addict Victor Mancini courts the love and money of complete strangers via a demented con that might just kill him.  But first, Victor must save his dying, delusional mother (Angelica Houston) by seducing and impregnating her comely physician, a task easier said than done, in this gleefully twisted tale of dysfunction, salvation, love, and libido.

And another new book on the way named Pygmy-

The Manchurian Candidate meets South Park—Chuck Palahniuk\'s finest novel since the generation-defining Fight Club.

“Begins here first account of operative me, agent number 67 on arrival midwestern American airport greater _____ area. Flight _____. Date _____. Priority mission top success to complete. Code name: Operation Havoc.”

Thus speaks Pygmy, one of a handful of young adults from a totalitarian state sent to the United States, disguised as exchange students, to live with typical American families and blend in, all the while planning an unspecified act of massive terrorism. Palahniuk depicts Midwestern life through the eyes of this thoroughly indoctrinated little killer, who hates us with a passion, in this cunning double-edged satire of an American xenophobia that might, in fact, be completely justified. For Pygmy and his fellow operatives are cooking up something big, something truly awful, that will bring this big dumb country and its fat dumb inhabitants to their knees.

It\'s a comedy.
It\'s not the drinking
Of the suds you partake
It\'s more the clinking
And the toast that you make

Haven\'t seen the movie just yet but i read the book a long time ago. Def one of the best books i read. Although right before that i read Exit Here. That was by far one favorite books ever. The author is Jason Myers. http://www.amazon.com/Exit-Here-Jason-Myers/dp/1416917489 I highly recommend it. 400+ pages flew by, i couldn\'t put the book down.

Did not care for the movie one bit really.  Might have to keep Exit Here in mind.  Don\'t have anything on my list after I\'m done with the book I\'m reading.

There was a Survivor movie in the works, then 9/11 happened, and well.......

It still may happen though

The last 3 or 4 of those tours Chuck has done I\'ve meant to get to but either something has happened or I can\'t find anyone to go with.  Maybe this time.

Tanyajo, you didn\'t like the movie at all?  I didn\'t love it, but it\'s hard to live up to that book.(or Fight Club for that matter)  The ending did bother me a little.

I just finished the movie, and i have to say, it was pretty damn good, every lead up in the beginning was great showing exactly what is on Victors mind. I think it was great balance of Chucks writing, contemporary acting, and a simple script. I am however very disappointed that they avoided the real ending entirely. I was hoping to see everyone come to the stone monument, but it ended with some casual mile high sex. The anal bead sketch in the interrogation room was f\'n hilarious. I don\'t think they went overboard with the nudity, in fact it was probably just enough. Angelica Houston was a great, but the girl who played Paige was a little bit of a turnoff. Anyone who wants to see it still i can throw my copy on my external for easy access from the internet.

I just finished watching choke.  Really enjoyed it.  Wasn\'t spectacular (certainly no fight club), but thought it was darn good.

(and no i didn\'t read the book, but you can save the "didn\'t live up to the book" jargon, because I simply don\'t care.  i was once an obsessed reader devouring stacks of fiction, but that is my past, and i\'m fine with just watching it on the boob tube)
