just get the one on archive it sounds better. from what i heard this matrix sounds like it has sync and phasing issues.

I\'m listening now for the first time. I\'m only a couple minutes in and I totally concur. Sounds pretty weird. I\'m not a sound guy, but appreciate sound. Is it possible that left sbd got mixed with right aud mic and vice versa? Could that cause this weirdness?

well, i usually prefer aud\'s anyway, but yeah, it sorta sounds like there\'s a bit of a reverb-effect on there (especially with the vocals - and not the reverb that\'s supposed to be there, you can hear that come on and off...). its not bad, but i can definitely see why it sounds off to some ears...

that being said, i\'m gonna go ahead and sendspace it anyway, so folks can hear and make the decision for themselves...

no, its because there is a short time day for the distance the mics are from the stage because of the time it takes sound to travel.

the soundboard has no delay at all, so when you mix the two together and do not compensate for the delay for the time it takes the sound to hit the audience mics you can hear them out of sync.

and sometimes the phase on one of the sources needs to be inverted before you mix them together because if not they cancel parts each other out kinda like how negative 1 plus positive 1 equals zero. that is basically the weirdness you are hearing.
