doesnt sound good for the stage. but maybe they will be able to do something in the next two weeks to fix it. or maybe the moe shows will be moved to the utica memorial auditorium. its right around the corner and there is nothing on the event calender for that weekend.

ok sure.....since i\'m certain all of bfam has moe.tickets already, so they could get in. on a side note, i\'m hearing that the crane in nyc fell on the sullivan hall so now that show will be cancelled also.

^ really.  the tabernacle in atlanta sustained heavy damage in the tornado that hit the city earlier this year.  music venues are going down one by one!

the fx matt brewery staff had a meeting this AM at 9:00 to discuss things...it also sounds like there is still smoke coming from the building after the fire was fought for 14.5 hours but is under control, and the firefighters might have to put out hot spots for a few days.
2 employees went to the hospital from smoke inhalation, but should be ok.

what a mess!

what happened was.......gencs tripped down the stairs and hit his head. the DEP and the EPA met with the DEA and their decision is still forthcoming. while certainly toxic....there was nothing nuclear coming from steves noggin.

From the press conference, per uticaod.com:

11:48 a.m. - Matt: Canning operation lost

F.X. Matt Brewing Company President Nicholas Matt has just concluded a press conference with reporters to discuss last night\'s fire that destroyed their canning operation.

"I would like to start by thanking the community for what we all feel has been a tremendous outreach," Matt said. "An outreach from people who drink our beer, from government officials, from other businesses offering to help, friends, and of course our employees who have been tremendous in this whole thing, worked extra hours, done whatever they could to help."

Among the issues he discussed was the need to outsource their canning capabilities in the immediate future.

"We will get it packaged one way or another," Matt said. "I assure you."

He also said that they do not expect any shortage in their beer supply because no beer was lost in the fire.

He anticipates Saranac Thursday will continue as scheduled.

"I hope to see all of you next Thursday," he said.

buy your ticket, support the brewery, rock out to moe. before we rage the breakfast!!
even you, klout! ;)
