Am I the only one that is tired of this guy.  He hasn\'t brought anything new to the table in years.

agreed.  i went to one concert of his, it was free at my school about 3 years ago.  It was so loud that he blew a cone out on one of the speakers about 2 songs into the show and that was all you could hear for the rest of the show.  Although I cant be certain, I left half way through, and already 2/3 of the crowd had exited by that point.  Snoop responded to the mass exodus with "where the fuck ya\'ll going?"

I thought I was permanently deaf after the show, and I had ringing in my ears for about a week after.  It was so loud that I couldnt tell any song that he played the entire time I was there.  It all sounded like a rocketship was taking off about 20 yards from where I was standing.

Needless to say, it was a great experience.  I\'ll be touring with him this summer.

He, like most rap artists out there, bores the hell out of me.  I know, I\'m closed minded, but until something comes along like early rap, I\'m not going to spend any time or effort buying or listening to the music.

I personally just don\'t get it.  I\'ll take a listen if I can, but unless I\'m listening to Public Enemy, Run DMC, The Beasties or The Fat Boys, it\'ll most likely be a lost cause.

Outkast bores you? Common? Mos Def? The Roots?

At least they have some seriously tasty music backing them up, even if you can\'t stand the rapping itself.

I\'m not big into rap generally speaking either, but I certainly enjoy plenty of efforts that straight groove. I also have an appreciation for plenty of skills out there knowing that I have NO rapping skills. It\'s not as easy as my parents think.

Live Hip Hop shows almost always suck if there is no live band.

Snoop will have one and have it down for Camp Bisco and other festivals this year.

Snoop has the silkiest smoothest muthafuckin\' flow there is and if you can\'t get with that I can\'t help ya.

as far as outkast goes, aquemini is a great album to check out...as are most of the others they\'ve made. they put on a great live show. saw em on the aquemini tour and on the stankonia tour..easily 2 of the best performances i\'ve ever seen. there are tons of other hip hop artists/groups that i\'ve been lucky enough to see who have put on awesome live shows..wu tang, busta rhymes, beastie boys, the roots, wyclef, ludacris, mr. lif and many others. i still have yet to see cypress hill.

i agree that most main stream rap/hip hop is pretty lame these days and sticks to the trend of money, hoes and cars references.. i\'d still love to see snoop dogg. his new stuff is not so great, but the older shit is timeless.
