we\'ll most likely be on the 4:24 or 4:50 out of new haven. not sure which one yet. i\'m in class in east hartford all week and while it\'s technically supposed to go til 5 every day, i expect to be out very early on friday.

I\'m assuming that\'s a commuter rail?

Speaking of commuter rails, how late does the "Shore Line East" run from NYC and how far west does it go?

well, it\'s metro north (http://www.mta.info) from nyc to new haven. shoreline east (http://www.shorelineeast.com/etrains.htm) goes east of new haven, but stops running pretty early in the night if i\'m not mistaken. oh, and it goes from new haven to new london.

Hmmm

Amtrak it is then.

All of y\'all should take Amtrak for the following reasons:

1.) It doesn\'t leave penn until 3 (way later than metro north leaves grand central)
2.) They serve beer and food on the train.
3.) ME!

I\'ll be in new haven that morning/day, don\'t know what time I\'ll be free but it should be well before the 4:24 departure. I\'ll give you a call for meet/up.

as of right now, i think we\'re shooting for the 330 train, so we have plenty of time to get to the city, grab a bite, booze it, then get to the pier.

but im perpetually late, so... who knows ? :)

is it friday yet?

now that ive got tix purchased im getting antsy.  this will be a good consolation for having to miss awesometown unexpectedly due to a fried starter at 6pm this past fri.

how many people does the boat hold?

and i hear these boat cruises are pretty much a free for all with little in the line of security.  is this true previous boat cruisers?

Is the boat really going to sell out before doors?

why bother taking a chance? buying in advance comes out to be the same price as buying at the door.

as i have no idea what time I\'ll be ready to head down, if you guys are down there for the 3:30 and I\'m ready I\'ll try and meet up with you... assuming you\'re taking the metro north out of new haven and not the amtrack out of wallingford(?)
