a sit in a moe.down would be the best.....image a full band switch on sat. night.  Also, give moe.rons somewhere to go for the next year while they are taking a break

i would think it\'s obvious if any of the guys had an opportunity to sitin with anyone it would be a good idea. but as it was said before.... they need to get on the bill at festivals first. but the other thing that should be asked is HOW to get a sit in spot. "uh hey man, want me to sit in and take up some of your 30 minute set..." i can\'t imagine that goes over to well.

i think i starting point would be to talk to bands like u-melt, TLG, RAQ (bands sort of on the same level as them, and yes leith i know TLG is a little bigger)

exactly, it\'s usually them that\'s supposed to ask you.  How would they work that?

i think this is where everyone is missing the point here...

the breakfast do not get booked for festivals.

sure, they get their slots here and there, but year after year, festival after festival gets announced, and the breakfast isn\'t on it. fuck it. show up. bring instruments. be ready. network, network, network. make friends. i\'d imagine that if the guys did this, they wouldn\'t have to ask/beg to sit in with anyone, they\'d BE asked.

this networking thing is a key element that has been missing from this band for a long time. i\'m glad to see tim taking steps to get the networking thing going with his trips out to NAAM and SXSW this year. the rest of the band needs to follow suit, and festivals are a great opportunity to do that.

i would say even if your not on the bill, go to a festival and show interest in what others are doing. making sure to say whats up to the other bands and what not. Hit up some of the festival early they are playing and stay late, hangout. it\'s not always about the after party. it would make more sense to hangout in the crowd and get down with everybody after a set than to pack up and bolt. Time to have a good time on and off the stage. All the guys are personable so there isn\'t any reason they shouldn\'t

is Tim and/or Adrian making the rounds. You know pull a "Warren".

These 2 should bring instruments and just start sitting in. I am sure they can sit in (Tim esp.) wherever they want.

It would cause a lot of talk about the performances sat in on and invariably lead to discussions about The Breakfast.

Damn even if they are not playing a fest and it\'s near they should pack up and hit it if there is no immediate Bfast show booked.

Just another way to get these guys some notice.

Come ON ds. Besides I have already discussed The Breakfast opening for TLG w/ TLG\'s management. Probably not gonna happen until The Breakfast have real management.

One problem with Breakfast sitting in with other bands.....

other bands don\'t like to look like wankers because they\'re getting shown up on their own stage.

And DS#s of course you are right. The members of The Breakfast are in no way famous or even really known in the "jam scene".

At most what I hear from random "jam scenesters" is "oh, Psychedelic Breakfast?? [you see, a lot of people still don\'t realize they\'ve even changed their name] Yeah I saw them back in 2002 I remember the guitar player was pretty good"

I think sit ins are lame and the idea of The Breakfast opening for Xanax-rockers like TLG or RAQ sucks.
Put the pointed pencil in the pepper-po and take a little sniff of the things below. :sadban:

i think sit-ins are great.  pretty much always a good thing seeing masters of their craft enjoying each others company on stage.
