last nice was decent, nothing special.  i was a little disappointed with the choice of setlist, as i dont think many of the u-melt folks were really into it.  because of the short set, i dont think they really had the chance to warm up fully.

highlights were the AWTNM jam with 2 guys from u-melt sitting in, a very solid tribal with good basss solo from chris. Rush sounded really good.  I dont even remember reel time.  i dont like the message at all.

fun time though...cool seeing everyone who came.

oh yea, and when tim sat in for a song in u-melt\'s set, that was SICK.

i believe it was Cosmik Debris. that\'s what was planned, at least.

Yes, it was.

Furthermore, my highlight of this show was Chris\'s bass solo in Tribal that occurred in the excessively funky part towards the end, which then segued to The Message. Audience was very much into it.

Can\'t say I love \'Wastin\' Time No More\' as a choice of cover, but the jam was excellent.

Also heard Reel Time for the first time and I give it a thumbs-up.

sounds like a sort of underwhelming night. what was the turnout for the breakfast and for u-melt? how many people were dancing/paying attention to both?

it was hard to tell becuase people were still coming in throughout the breakfast\'s set.  most of the people were up top during TB, which made it look pretty dismal down on the floor.  people wre groovin though.  i would say there were about 150-200 heads in the entire place throughout the night.  there were no more than 50 people on the floor when TB were playing from what i can remember.  once u-melt started, most of the people from up top moved down, so the floor looked more filled.  i moved upstairs for a good portion of u-melts set, and left early.  they were pretty solid.

Overall, it was a decent show... as ds#\'s said, not their very best, but the umelt fans were definitely interested in hearing/seeing more breakfast - I had some people come up to me @ the merch table during setbreaks asking about the band & saying they\'ve never heard anything like it before.

UMelt was decent as well, and all in all it was a great night of tunes.  The sit-ins are the highlights of the night for me - they were so jammy & "steal your face" style - people were definitely struck & having a good time during both band\'s performances.  I hope we got a few new members on .info sometime soon! :D  BTW, this show makes me sooooooo excited for Mezzanote next week - I really HOPE I can make it! :awwyeah:
