i think the tracking shot to "strangers" is amazing, and kind of tells the whole film in one shot, wes anderson is my favorite director, however i still can\'t decide if i like this film better than life aquatic, i thought it was pretty obvious that bill murray was the dad, and that the train was a symbol for life/the universe, which seems to explain the tracking shot of everyone in the characters thoughts on the train... also the luggage symbolism is quite obvious, but man, he really is the best at setting scenes to found music, and though he had gotten alot of shit from critics for using too much slo-mo, he decided if he wanted to use it, he would in this film, unlike aquatic, and i think it really shows off how gifted wes is
"doubled-over-with-laughter" i dont think is how i would describe the reaction to life aquatic, while zissou is funny as hell, it\'s more like a fellini or tuffaut film, 8 1/2 and day for night come to mind, i also love his stock of actors, it\'s always great to see owen wilson do something real as opposed to night at the wedding crashers
