daffodil jill kept telling me and telling me, but i never listened... then, on our first date (12/31/03) we went to toad\'s and they opened with mayfly. needless to say, i was hooked! the saddest part was that i had intended to see them a year or so earlier, when ancient harmomy (who i drove to random states on random weeknights to see) was gonna open for them, but AH broke up the week before.

that was my first show to. I just started taking band pics and i was going to see the opening band and was gonna jet but i think i might have run into Freddie who said i should check out this next band. i heard of them once or twice before and of some Wallingford kids at the shows so i figured i\'d stick around. 82 shows and about 20,000 pics later i still do what i can

I don\'t really remember how I first heard of the band, I grew up in Cheshire and the word was spreading while I was in high school.  Finally decided to get out and see a show summer of 01 (listed below) Can\'t say I was hooked at that point though. Didn\'t see them again for a few years.

Then went to college, I met Alexei and a couple of his buddies and it got me listening to them again.  Went to the FFO 5 & 6, enjoyed them but wasn\'t completely sold yet (I had been brainwashed by the Biscuits so it was tough)

It wasn\'t until my 6th show, 8/5/06, that I was HOOKED.

Yeah, I know, its awesome.  And unbelieveable, because on most of the other boards I sometimes post on there is always constant idiotic N00b vs. O.G. arguements and it ruins it for everyone involved.  Its great music man, I mean, if you dig it then you\'re alright with me, First or 500th show..

Adrian grew up at the top of my street. Ron and my brother were in the same class from K-5, and were pretty close back then. Tim and I sat next to each other in the trumpet section of the EHHS band. Met Jordan after my first few shows skiing with Dave Colangelo. I\'ll toss in davepeck for good measure, he used to prop me up on his shoulders for the YMCA at football games and brought me to my first concert in the IROC (which if I am not mistaken was right along the same time he started dating Lisa?). Don\'t know when/where my first show was, but pretty sure I got hooked by PB sans Jordan before they became Psychedelic Breakfast, probably when the three of them played at the high school football games and/or jammed in the high school auditorium during lunch break, was hooked on their musicianship already, without even hearing an original or as a \'band\'. Someodd years later, here I am, one of only a few Stavener\'s left who regularly sees The Breakfast (okay, somewhat regularly for me).

I like how people here kind of either grew up with them, or "went with some friends to see this band, had a great day/night/week/month/year" and have been hooked ever since.

and my next show was a week later, not a year.  Come on Igzy where\'s the dedication? ;)

as I said it is what it is, 76 shows, 200 shows, who cares?  It\'s all about good tunes and good people.

i\'ll dedicate my foot up your ass.

By chance I walked in to their Vaudeville set at HSMF.. They opened with Rufus and I was floored. However due to my drug use back then in \'03 I forgot about them after seeing 50 new bands that weekend. After getting a show (Spring Lion\'s Den \'03 I believe)through an old school trade and allowing it to collect dust for over a year, I had that magical day where I threw in the show while cleaning, they opened with TONT and then the seller to follow -- Tribal w/Star Wars teases. I felt like a fool for not giving them the attention they deserve and have done so since.

I must have listened to Deuce for two months straight after ordering it on Amazon. Fucking revelation.
