How has Slash gotten no love?  And even though moy technically great Johnny Greenwood is hands down one of the most innovative and sickest guitar players in the past 20 years.

Some of these guys are just personal favorites, not to be confused with "the greatest of all-time". Here they are, in whatever order they come to me.

Jerry Garcia
Jimi Hendrix
Brian May
John McLaughlin
Tony Iommi
Buckethead
Mark Knopfler
Terry Kath
Kirk Hammett
Dimebag Darrell

Honorable mentions go to Frank Zappa and Eddie Hazel. I know I dig plenty of tunes by both Zappa and P-Funk, but both bands had so many personnel changes that I couldn\'t tell you for sure who played on which tunes, \'cepting the most famous ones.

Edit: errr... probably should add Tim Palmieri to that list.

Edit again: Also, Larry LaLonde and Al DiMeola

p.p.s. Can Tim Finger Pick? I Doubt It. Maybe Two Finger Picking But Not Three.
