This whole thing is very funny.  The guy from u-melt just emailed me about 5 says ago asking if i could help promote the u-melt show at rev hall.  i didnt respond because a. im pretty busy, b. i didnt like u-melt the one time i saw them at their halloween show at rev hall that i also promoted for, and c. the guy didnt give me free tickets for helping out.  now that TB are opening, im definitely going to help promote.  ill throw up a bunch of flyers on the Ualbany campus and at red square and in rev hall and a bunch of other places.

how long of a set are they getting?  i wish it was a co-bill, rather than an "opening spot."  the breakfast are way better than umelt.


One of my closest friends lives in Colonie. Even tho I live about 50 minutes north of NYC I prefer to see shows in the upstate area. Rev Hall, Red Square etc etc

This show could be a big step in the right direction. I\'m not really a Umelt fan (I havn\'t really heard their tunes) But i\'m glad they are teaming up.  It\'s definately kind of a bummer to be opening but this is still a really good thing imo. Hopefully it will lead to some sit-ins, and maybe some future dates that are co-billed and not opening slots.

we could probably get 2-300 people to show up if they played post moe.  kind of too late now cause everyone is gonna go to lynch.

agreed, im going to talk to the promo/booking guy for u-melt and see what he thinks about a tag team run with the 2 bands.  one thing i noticed at the umelt show i went to was EVERYONE that seemed like they were big fans of u-melt that i talked to about the breakfast had very positive feeling about them.  no one i talked to said "i dont like those guys" when i talked about how i go see them a lot.  i think a co-billing tour would be a good idea with u-melt.  they have been getting really good gigs lately, like the after moe. NYE show at highline ballroom.

From what I have seen a lot of U-Melt fans know of, and are positive about the the breakfast and a CO-BILL here would be cool with me but bfast opening them seems pretty wack  unless u-melt is huge in albany or something.

Rev Hall used to ask you who you were there to see  if there were two smaller bands and write it down at the door.

IF they still do this. ...

It would be totally worth it to get as many people as possible to the show.

If there was a great turn out of bfam and a higher number than for U-melt the band would in turn rip it up and management would be fools not to take notice.

THat could lead to really good things if they still do that.

Rev Hall is a SER, well known venue.

 they had a crack at it once and really need to get their foot in the door again with this gig.

i know some people at saw them at rev hall for the first time and were turned off.  i dont know anything about the show though, so i dont know if they played well or not.

I think I am gonna hit this up.  It\'s worth the trip for one set of breakfast on a ser stage such as this and U-Melt will at the very least be good background music to hang with the bfam to.

That Rev. Hall show was my first \'real\' Breakfast show and I was def. not turned off by anything!  I came back for more!  So glad Igzy made me listen to these guys!

Oh, and the after party at the hotel was a blast!  I think Holly won some money off of Adrian that night!
