You got me on current play wolf...

To me, this isn\'t a Yanks/RS thing, but you made it that with your comment above... You even went as far in previous posts to wish that it were the Yanks rather than the Rays, hot un-Red Sox like...

I don\'t need the Yanks to win every year... Like most fans my age, we grew up with the shitty 80\'s and early 90\'s... But history has proven that even though we haven\'t won in 8 years, it sure won\'t be 80+ years before we win it again...

Final thought, my comments are not nearly as annoying and time consuming as your self-serving / pat myself on the back Patriot posts from last season...

OK look, I can admit the Rays are way better than the Red Sox.  I can accept that the Rays deserve to win.  They have a very good team that is hot, while the Red Sox took on more injuries in the last two weeks of the season than any team I can think of.  Their 3rd baseman and World Series MVP emeritus goes down.  The right fielder barely crawls back to play in the playoffs after sitting out a month.  Their BEST PITCHER goes down.  Their best power hitter is playing obviously hurt and their best overall hitter quit and is now on the Dodgers.  The September/October 2008 Red Sox just are not a championship team.  Fine.  It happens.  I can deal with 2 championships in 5 years.

But what I can\'t believe is getting destroyed three nights in a row in Fenway Park.  I am in shock.  I LOVED the Sox tonight.  I bought into Joe Maddon overthinking things with starting Kazmir and I never thought that the defending champs would allow themselves to by destroyed again in what must surely be the quietest 3 night run of baseball Fenway history.  (I mean, if the Sox get killed in a regular season game nobody goes catatonic, everyonr just drinks more and forgets about it and ends up loud and rowdy and the place doesn\'t feel like a morgue like it has the last 3 nights.)  I can\'t get that upset at the Sox for losing a series to what is clearly a better team right now.  But getting rocked at home like this is downright embarassing.  I\'m just glad I didn\'t go to any of these games.  My god.

Well, maybe they\'ll come back tonight and prove me wrong, but this is what I\'m feeling right now as I watch.

Sox turn the double play to end the top of the 9th with 2 on and 1 out at the stroke of midnight.  Love it.  Pedroia>Ortiz>Yook bottom 9 I can\'t see the Sox NOT scoring this inning.

How do they keep pulling shit like this off?

Granted, I think they\'re one and done back in Tampa, but at least they give their fans some incredible shit like this year after year in the post-season. Unreal. I fucking HATE the Cubs right now. Seriously, hate.
