How bout Daniel "murphdog" Murphy?

I know its only been 20 something at bats or so but I got a great feeling about this kid.

What a way to break into the majors tho....batting over .500, 5 RBI, a homer, triple, couple doubles, lot of walks...and some nice plays in the outfield too!  Looks great at the plate too. You can tell he is not just getting lucky. As keith would say...he has an idea up there.

We were all freaking out when he hit that pinch hit homer last night.

Report: Ramirez wants to play for Yankees

http://web.yesnetwork.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080809&content_id=1451588&oid=36019&vkey=4

Please God, don\'t let this happen.  We have enough "ME" players without adding the biggest in the league.  If they made this move, I\'d have to give serious consideration to boycotting going to see them until he\'s out of pinstripes.

In my keeper league (4 keepers), my current roster is:

Dioner Navarro
Adrian Gonzalez
Dan Uggla
Kevin Youkilis
Stephen Drew
Matt Holliday
Shane Victorino
Brian Giles
Troy Glaus
Fred Lewis
James Loney
Mike Lowell

I am obviously keeping Holliday and Gonzalez (and Tim Lincecum from my pitching staff). My question to you is, is Kevin Youkilis really my last keeper? I\'m torn between him and Dan Uggla. Help a brotha out. I\'m afraid my Red Sox bias may get in the way of making a rational decision.

^^  honestly couldnt care less if they were first in division or first in wild card.  as long as they reach the playoffs, dominance will take place.

Johan pitched a gem last night, though Pedro got knocked around in the earlier game, but the Mets take it to the Phillies and stay up 2 games. They look a lot better than last year thats for sure, though Billy may be unavailable. Delgado is crushing the ball, Beltran is showing a resurgence, and if Wright starts doin his job at the plate (though the plays he makes on the field are rediiiiculous) ...WATCH OUT!

I never talk sports here (it takes up too much of my non-cyber-life) but are you fucking kidding me with the Cubs game today?!

Fine with me. Maybe the Brewers should fire another manager with two weeks left. Or re-appeal Sabathia\'s one-hitter in the midst of a pennant race. Pfftt. What a joke.

Hang in there Mets!

I\'d much rather see the Mets and Phillies push through than 1 of the above and Milwaukee.. that is unless Sheets is dunzo. Well, even so, just to hear Brewer fans bitch through another offseason.. it\'s nice having shite struggling company in the same division.

That being said the Cubs will not win the World Series. Of course I hope they do, but I\'d be a goddamn fool to set myself up after 24 years of wondering why my father raised me in blue pins. Do we have the team to do it? Absolutely. But, we won\'t. That\'s all.

(mutha\' fuck I hope I\'m wrong... I\'ve never been this nervous approaching any postseason for any sport for any team I love so dearly as this one...)

I am offering 100 dollars, a 12-pack of Mr. Pibb, and a gross of Ring Dings to the first person who can bring me the head of Aaron Heilman.
