The Celtics resorted to some old-fashioned Sox-Yankees rivalry to get the crowd pumped coming out of the last timeout.

The Jumbotron first showed the score of tonight\'s Sox game: "Red Sox 2, Royals 1," then switched to, "Orioles 12, NY Yankees 2" with a note below that read, "Yankees remain in last place."

They did the same during the bruins games.

Don\'t you wish you were a Red Sox fan too?

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm NO.

Haha, well, it sounds like booztravlr sure does!  Hey Booz, I\'d like to extend to you a personal invitation to join Red Sox Nation.  With you being a fan of an NL West team you couldn\'t possibly have less of a conflict.  We have the greatest clutch hitter of our lifetime, a hall-of-famer about to reach 500 home runs, the best clutch pitcher in the game, two second-year starters who have both thrown no hitters, the best young outfielder in the game who steals second and third on back-to-back pitches, 2 titles in the last 4 years, and the chances of postseason play are over 50% each year.  Stop rooting for that awful team in that ho-hum yawnball division and come play with the big boys.  We\'d love to have you my man.

Do you see what years of hearing this same garbage from Yankee fans has done? Wolfman has turned into the very thing that I, as a Red Sox fan, hated about Yankee fans for years. Act like you\'ve been there before.

The Yankees are down right now, but we\'ve come back from bigger deficits to win the division.  I\'m not saying that is what is going to happen this season, but if you listen to the radio stations in the NY area, they\'re basically saying that the season is over and the Mets are the team to watch when they only have two more wins than us.

They think they are European.

They talk about their "club" and wear flags and are generally, well, gay.

Wow. Chris Young (Padres pitcher) just took a ball to the face off of Pujols\' bat. They didn\'t show any replays on the Padres feed nor the Cardinals feed but it looked like it hit him at the top of the nose. His face was covered in blood and so was his jersey. Later on in the same inning Bard was protecting home plate with his left leg and as Pujols slid home he turned his foot/knee completely sideways. Hopefully they\'re both all right. Obviously, neither of these were intentional, but come on! Peavy goes down last week and now this. How about some good luck in San Diego for a change.

Wow I\'m sorry to hear that. I never like players getting hurt, no mater what team they play for.

Despite prior contrary comments, I will now go on the record as saying that Willie needs to be fired. I mean, something has to be done before this team drops 10 games out of first.

I\'m not sure that I agree with firing Willie, but if you\'re going to go to that extreme, I think you also need to take a high paid player and fire him for underperforming (if it\'s possible to do with contracts).  I am of the belief that there is only so much a manager/coach can do to motivate a player, it\'s up to the million dollar players to go out there and earn their checks.
