BTW, who the hell is running the merch table nowadays?  Is there even going to be a merch table at Daniel St? Do you think it will be safe to leave the discs at the merch table while I get down to Tunage during the first set please...

last i recall she prided herself on her merch selling abilities and wouldn\'t let anybody else stop her from being merch girl.

does anyone else think it is a bad idea for the band to profit off of other bands music at the merch table? especially when those artists dont allow taping or dont want money being exchanged for their live recordings?

if i was a writing a review of the show for a paper or something and i didnt like them i would definitely bash the band in the review for doing that. and just to be a jerk i would probably send that review jambase and jambands.com

i would not do this, joe. would you be doing this if you were at higher ground in front of mike gordon with a phish show in the bunch?

that wouldnt be so bad.

but there is no reason for the breakfast to be raffling off other bands live recordings and demos on cd-r at the merch table at the show for their own profit. thats just asking for trouble.

if they wanted to have a raffle to make money they could easily get a poster size photo printed and each sign it. derek, todd, and jackie have taken millions of good ones that could be used. more tickets would be sold and it would definitely be worth the cost of the print. and they have done it before.

Chris brings up VERY good points. At the onset, I thought it was Breakfast shows that were being raffled off.

Oh, and btw, Robyn, in my most unbiased opinion,= best merch person ever!!

IMHO....chris is right.....this is a nice thought but in reality it\'s a bad idea. you were offering to give the stuff away originally (i think) and any raffle should NOT involve any money. the breakfast shouldn\'t do anything with anybody elses music where money changes hands. end of story.

I would agree...in theory its probably not the best idea.
